To get bookings at the show try these things: Do a wish list - have everyone fill out a wish list - when people see how many they want, they may choose to have a show to get them free.

Also do a pretend hostess. Have someone come up and be a pretend hostess. Then expain your hostess program or special for April/May. They start handing her product to set down in front of her and explain that those would be free and/or discounted (as calculated from your average shows) Then say "Plus! if you hold a show and if you set a date with me today, even a book party, you can have an extra Jar at 50% off (to be given only at her party close date - don't give it to her right away)"

Ask everyone who checks out if they would like a catalog show or a home show? Then say "what day of the week works out best for you?" Have your calander open and have all of your personal things to do written in so it never looks empty and say "I have the 12, 15, or the 26, which works better for you?" Then always say, "we can mark this day and if it doesn't work out call me and we can reschedule, I would hate for you to miss out on your half-off item. "

I know some people do the "guilt" thing by saying "Ann only needs 2 more people to havea show or catalog party to qualify for an additional 10%, would you like to help her out and get some great free stuff for yourselftoo?" I feel bad doing the guilt thing. I don't do it every time, but it does work, though.

It also helps to tell the hostess to get full hostess benefits she needs 2 bookings, so she mightget 1 or 2 before the show.

You can decide on what hostess benefits work for you, that is what is so great for this company!

Good luck at your show!smileys/smiley32.gif

What do you offer for the hostess benefits?

I change them every two months, that way they can't put off booking if they want the current deal smileys/smiley1.gif Usually a percentage free based on sales and half off items. The best percentage if getting min sales plus 2 bookings.
