Please share your success stories with beauti control. I am considering this, Avon or Mary kay. I would like to know which company offers the best avenue for success. What has this company done for you. What are your earnings? How many recruits do you have. What can it do for me? Why would this be better than Mary kay or Avon? How do they compare? Please share. I posted the same on the other company's forum as well. Thanks, Sylvia

I can't speak for how we compare to other companies because I do not know anything about those other companies. I never did any research before joining BeautiControl, I just knew instantly it was perfect for me.
BeautiControl has done so much for me. First of all, I love the products. I fell in love with them the very first time I tried them. The Show of Hands is the best! Now I can get them at a discount all the time!
I have been able to travel to the Bahamas with BeautiControl, I have earned jewelry, money, and am on my way to earning my very own red mustang convertible! And it's not a lease; if I chose to quit the next day (and why would I???) it's still mine to keep.
The best thing BeautiControl has done for me is that I have the flexibility and freedom to stay home with all 5 of my kids and do the things I want to with them.
But my favorite part of working with BeautiControl is being able to pamper women and hopefully make them feel special and worthy to be pampered. Everyone deserves to Escape! Even if they can't buy anything, they stilltake something away from a Spa Escape. I love being able to teach women how and why it's important to CHILLAX (chill out & relax)!! smileys/smiley4.gif
I currently have6 recruits under me. I used to have 13, but life happens and I lost some. But the great thing about BeautiControl is no one beats you up for it. Everyone has been so supportive of me and I've never been "pressured" to do better. They know that I do the best I can for me and they are excited for me at every step.
I hope I helped answer some of your questions. If you have more, please let me know. You can pm or e-mail me at spas4u @cinci.rr.com.

I can also tell you, the company doesn't compete against you for sales. I noticed Avon the company competes with its own by sometimes offering better sales or gifts that they don't offer for their consultants. You can be who you are, you don't have to dress a certain way, you can have pajama parties or marquarita parties if you want too. You don't have to be made up, you can just be you and still do very well. There is no pressure, but BeautiControl I think rewards very well. I love the products too.
Also, I don't know about in your area, but we are over loaded with Mary Kay women here and very few have even heard of BeautiControl, so the market right now isn't overloaded as it is with the other companies.
Don't get me wrong. All 3 companies are good companies to work for and they all have great things to offer. I just went with the one I saw the best opportunity for myself. Good luck in your decision and with whatever business you choose. WE would love to have you join us, but the best to you in whatever you do.

Hello,
I have been with Beauticontrol about a year now. I have tried some other different companies over the years, but have had more success with this.I currently am a Senior Consultant and plan on starting DIQ May 1.The products are fabulous. The support from the company, upline and everyone on this board is amazing. There is no Competition here. The Spa Escape is something that everyone loves.Especially those who cannot afford to go to a Day Spa.As far as trips and things we can earn, they are for everyone, not just the top directors.I work as much or as little as I want and my income is based solely on what I put into this.I not only do in home spas, but have recently started doing Spa works in offices and also with teachers in a few schools.I am excited about my future.....
As for Mary Kay,I was with them for 3 years.I got as far as a Red jacket.Only directors got to go on trips or get any of the big awards.I started getting discouraged in my 3rd year because nobody wanted to host the classes. It became old stuff here as the area is totally saturated with Mk consultants.I live right in the middle of what i call MK country.Pretty soon this will be BC country LOL!
my grandmother was a very successful Avon rep for over 30 years. She was in the Presidents club. She did very well and really enjoyed it.She had also hoped that one day when i was old enough that I would follow in her footsteps, but I didn't feel that Avon was for me.
All of these companies are great,but it really depends on what YOU are looking for.If you just want to be able to get products at a discount or if you are like me and want everything attainable.it feels so good to be able to know that you have helped somone.Sometimes people come to a spa so stressed out about whatevers going on in their situation,that you can see it all over them and then they leave later with a smile and maybe a spring in their step.it gives me a lot of satisfaction to know that not only do i sell products,but that I am also offering a service where it truely is just about them.With BC in order to be considered active the only requirement is 100 retail every 120 days.With Mk it was 250 every quarter.Check all 3 companies out and see which one is the closest to what you're looking for.Good luck in your search.I hope this helps some.If i can answer any more questions,PM me.&nb sp;

I can't answer why it would be better than either company.
I have been with BeautiControl for 3 years. Each of these years, I have seen awesome new products and tools to halp us be successful in our businesses! The one day seminar called BeautiU, the DVD (shows you how to do a spa party) and the flip cards are awesome tools! BeautiControl has a keep it simple philosophy which helps a consultant be duplicatable!
I use the products on a daily basis! They have made a huge improvement in my complexion. Someone today thought I was 10 years younger...Yeah!!
I live in an area where BeautiControl is not well known at all.I had aspa party tonight and everyone bought products and booked a party! The experience was fun and relaxing...I burned socks in the microwave so that added a little drama to the mix! First time ever and I was so embarrassed!http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley9.gif
My best advice is make a spread sheet of questions you want answered and see which company fits you the best!
All the consultants on this board are very helpful! Thank you for inquiring about BeautiControl!
Have a great week!

I'm sure you've heard this at yoru other sites but find what your most interested in. I did a lot of research and there were many reasons why I chose beauticontrol. One of the reasons, and the main reason is that I love spa products and more so I love beauticontrol products. I truly feel that they are amazing. Although its been around for 25 years a lot of people dont' know about it so there is a big chance for new customers. I also love getting my discount on certain items. Plus they give away trips and cars and I want to eventually quit my job! I suggest you talk to people like you are now and try the products. Which ones are YOU most likely to use? remember, you are your best customer.

I can tell you that in mary kay you get 10% bonus on the total wholesale order of your unit plus 13% comm. on your unit (that includes you) and another 13% comm on your personals.
I like bc products , mk, avon, love Arbonne and melaleuca.
but if you are in the direct sales biz, the comm, in Mary Kay are the best.
Example if your unit does 10,000 Retail you get a $500 Bonus, plus 13% of 5000 (wholesale) $650 unit comm. and another 0-$650 Depending on how much of that was from your PERSONAL recruits,
that is as High as $1800 comm. check plus that is grand prix prod.
which if you take the cash instead of the car you add another $575 to your check.
that would be $2375.oo in your pocket each month for 5,000 worth of wholesale purchases from you and your unit.
and you make 63% on all your PERSONAL Sales, (Not just 50%)
which is Very good,
this is the bare min. if you are doing 20,000 a month JUST YOUR Bonus alone is $2000 plus up to 26% on top of that.
we did checks once and doing the same work with the same prod. a BC director would have earned over 52,000 more in a year with Mary Kay.
just something to think about.

No I am not, I am a previous MK director and previous BC tM.
I am not with any of them now.
It was not to put down bc or to say how great mk is. I am not saying that.
what I am saying is bare bones, mk has a better comp plan.
Now, Bc Has Great products as well and there are many differences between the two, so you have to follow your heart.
I apoligize if I offended anyone.

My girlfriend sells MK. She doesn't like the quota she has to make in order to stay an active consultant. It's a lot higher than BC. Our quota is only $100 (retail) every quarter. That is the only thingI have ever heard hercomplain about.

Allie,
Well said! It is important to follow your heart and do something you're passionate about.
It also helps if you love the products of the company you represent!
Thank you for posting on this board. It is my hope that you feel comfortable posting your opinions here.
We are a tight knit group of consultants who believe in supporting and encouraging one another in our business. We are passionate about what we do and that makes us all biased!
As you will be able to see, we do not have the debates that other boards do. That is why I love this board so much!
In the spirit of WHO (women helping others)

I think it's interesting when other companies post on here. It's good to see what they are doing and what we are doing, kinda compare notes. I used to sell MK years ago and it just wasn't for me. I don't have anything against the other companies, I just don't have the passion for them like I do BC. We have more MK here and Avon and nobody has heard of BC. So we're trying to get the word out that we are here.smileys/smiley4.gif

I just want to clarify 1 thing that has been mentioned above. In BC, to stay as an active consultant, you must place a $100 retail order every 129 days. It is my understanding that 120 days is NOT a quarter. A quarter of a year would be 90 days. So BC is being more flexible than we're making it out to be! If I am incorrect, please let me know, but I'm pretty sure it's 120 days (which would be 4 monts- so only 3 times a year!) I am currently working full time as a social worker and haven't done a lot of spas. I could only have to order 3x a year, but of course I love taking advantage of the 50% discounts if I order X amount of products etc... :)
Good luck on your search. I have learned SO much from the women on this board. One thing I've really learned is the beauty in helping other women destress. On the inside, I think I was still just doing spas "party style" hoping to get orders and bookings and not truly trying to help these women relax and be pampered. Well that's for sure changed! I can't wait for my next spa. These women won't know what hit them!
Ok, I should make 1 or 2 more comments about MK and BC. BC products have the alpha hydroxy acids which help skin emmensely and MK products do not have these AHA. The other thing is that even if the products compare in price, I've had a lot of people tell me that their BC products seem more concentrated, don't have to use as much and therefore last longer. Another money saving fact.
Take care and good luck! Deb

Deb,
You are correct with the time frame in which you must place an order to remain an active consultant. It is 120 days and $100 or more retail order.
I just wanted to add that our Regeneration Gold products have polyhydroxy acids in them. Alpha hydroxy is being phased out. I can now use the Rengeration Gold line because PHA doesn't irritate my face and it is less sensitive to sun. I love this line!

MY success story is I got my first recruit yesterday!!! I am so glad I got the one on ones going. I was meeting with someone yesterday during the conference call time, so I missed it Vicki.
When I got home, I had an email from one of the ladies I talked to and she joined!! I am so excited. Never give up ladies. Find what works for you.
I love the gold and platnium lines too. The only product I had irritate my skin is the cell block C PM. Not sure why. I love the smell of the PM, wish I could use it.

I had a bad reaction to the chemical peel - maybe I did it wrong - another consultant gave me a sample. I could try again, but I'd rather stick with my Microderm Abrasion which I love. Time to do it tonight!
Congrats Nickie!

Thanks everyone. I just ordered my first chemical peel. I love the microderm abrassion and decided to see what this does too. I think its easier to suggest products I have tried. I did get my big size Vanilla latte foam. I so love how that smells. It makes me want to run to starbucks and order one!!! LOL

There are so many ways to be successful in BC. I love reading how God is blessing so many of you and that is His will- for us to prosper and to do good. Thanks to all who post because I learn so much! I am constantly having to change out notebooks because of all the added stuff I print off and put into it. That is a good thing! We help each other to be successful- whether it's in sharing info on how togetrecruits, selling, learning how to do the successful spa, or in helping/encouraging others.
I thinkone of the main points in being successful is to be yourself! If you go into your spa and be yourself and feel comfortable with WHO you are and just become one of those ladies you are pampering things will flow so much better. I personally don't care for the "see-through" person who puts on a front and has that haughty spirit. It kills it for me. I have so many of the ladies at spaswho are perfect strangers tell me that they love the way I just talk to them like I have always known them. This breaks the ice for me and puts them at ease- it really turns into a big, happy party!
I hope to have my own success stories to post soon- congratulations to you who are doing so well in the promotion. Keep posting that good info.- you are blessing so many by your sharing! God bless you and yours.
