Hi, I don't really do parties - our team does Results. But I have a good friend that asked me to do a party so she can get some stuff w/ the hostess benefits as she just got laid off and doesn't have the extra money to spend now. Of course I said I would do it - but here's where I am confused. If she has people at the party that want to buy products and may potentially be interested in signing up to get the discount, doesn't that counteract my friends order total and cause her tonot getas nice ofa party discount? Wouldn't I then have to put their order on their own start-up order? Am I missing something? Should I just not really "go there" as far as signing people up and just do retail only? Or is there some other benefit to the hostess that I am missing if they sign up and order on their own? I feel like I am missing the big picture on this one. All advice welcome.
Thanks so much.

Different people handle this differently. I offer the three ways to win to everyone. The key to remember is that the $100 for $20 is a hostess bonus not a sign up bonus. If some people sign up & others don't, I add the retail orders to the new wholesale account in order to get the $250 required for the $100 for $20. I always have the order shipped to me so that I can "break down" the orders. It also gives you another chance to "touch" the people who were at the party. Keep in mind that things don't always balance out & I have had to spend a few dollars here & there to make sure the hostess receives her benefits. I feel it is very important to make sure she is compensated fairly as outlined prior to the party.
With all that said, I have to add that I am so happy I only do parties on request these days. I enjoy them when I do them but they are definitely more time consuming & brain racking.
I am sure others will be able to share how they handle this.
Good luck & let us know how it goes!!Edited by: Kiana's Mom
