What exactly is the name for the small ziploc baggies we use for our scent samples?

I am trying to search the Michaels site but I don't know the proper name for the bags. Or is that where we get the baggies??

I am looking for the 1 1/4 x 2" size. Where do you get these and what do they cost?

Plus, what label do you use on the bottom of your jars and votives?

Thank you all, ladies!

Vicki

Hi Vickie,

I get mine from Michaels, in the beading section. They come in a little
box (which is handy- they pull out one at a time!) and are called
"Bagettes"- they are a little larger than you indicated though- 2" x 3". I
can't remember what they cost, but they are fairly comparable to Walmart,
about $0.01 per baggie.

I pack my votives in the snack size ziplock baggies, with a tissue square
wrapping each votive. I include burning instructions (a printout 1/4
sheet) and include a laser label with my contact info and the scent on the
outside of the baggie. I use the standard size address labels from office
depot- the ones that have 30 labels per sheet. LMK if you'd like a
template.

I have custom made re-order labels that are waterproof that I use on my
jars- I put one on the seam of the label and then use one of my laser
labels on the bottom of the jar.

Hi Vicki,

I found some on Ebay. They should work well.

Just did a quick search - this looks to be an ok source of baggies - no minimum orders, but they do have a minimum shipping price of $3 (for small packages). I'm sure there are other comparable companies out there like this. I like the large size selection they have though - but I did notice there's a huge price difference between the 2 mil standard and one called "redline" - the inexpensiveness of the "standard" speaks to me smileys/smiley36.gif

Do most of you put labels on the very bottom of jar meaning you have to look underneath jar on bottom & put another label on the jar so people can see it right away?

Do people look under the jar or do you have to tell them to look there?

I just put my labels on the bottom of the jars - I noticed that people will naturally look there for some reason or another anyway smileys/smiley36.gif
