So I feel like I'm running into a wall. I keep applying to these jobs or researching companies that hire customer service and/or sales agents and not many seem to hire those who live in California. I know Reserve America does and I know I can bid on jobs through Odesk, which I have. But I was wondering if anyone living in California works for a company as a service/sales agent and which company do you work for? Any other suggestions or hints would be helpful. Thank you in advance for your time.

I live in CA and I was hired with Working Solutions. This was a few years ago -- and ultimately I declined the job -- so I don't know if they still do. It's worth looking into, though. Good luck!

Thank you for the suggestions. I actually have applied to Uhaul and Quicktate and Verafast isn't hiring in California currently.

Use search feature “Work at Home Reservation Agent”
Have openings in CA now. Also, I know Work Force Logic and Leap Force (see the Google rater thread) are both located in CA, so I would assume they hire in CA.

LiveOps is located in CA and they do NOT hire in CA. Not a safe assumption. The reason a lot of places don't hire Californians has to do with the laws here regarding employing ICs. It has nothing to do with the location of the business.
