I noticed a few of you are like me, I was getting no where with the spa escape or having parties or they want to book so far away, but I decided to try a different approach, which for now is working. I asked them if we can just get together and I just pamper them solo, or if they would like to see a new product I got in that I love ( this is the bistro mini). It got me in their doors. In the past 2 weeks I have sold more then $400.00 in products and thats just to 4 women. My friend Barbara is the reason I am having another one on one Monday she told a friend of hers about some of the products she saw and her friend wanted to see some, so thats how I got that booking. While I was talking on the phone with her, she said she had a friend who would be interested in one of the lines we sell, so I am hoping that will lead to another one on one. I haven't left anyone yet without selling some products. Its only taking about an hour or so with each one. So far none of the ladies are interested in having a spa escape, but I am going to keep asking if they know someone that might be interested in some of the products I sell. I am hoping this will keep the ball going. I am trying to get 5 one on ones a week to make up for not being able to get 2 spa escapes booked. I am also hoping that one of these will lead to a possible escape and a recruit or two. I do have 2 spa escapes booked, coming up, but I didn't want to just keep waiting for those to get here, I want to do something now. This seems to be helping.
I guess what I am suggesting is when you call for the spa escapes also, ask about how about just a one on one. The people I run into seem to like that much better. If anyone tries this, let me know how it works for you. Good luck!!!

OMG, I wish I had read this before the last call I just made!! I got the "parties typically aren't my thing" excuse. Thanks so much for sharing how it's working for you, Nickie! That is sooooooo great!
How do you think you'd handle their small kids (if they have them)? Maybe suggesting during nap time? Do you offer any sort of freebies or specials during your one on ones?
Wow, this is cool. I'm really excited!

I would offer a night time or weekend day appointment. That way she would have her husband watch the children.
One on ones are great because they get individual pampering!

Actually, right now with it being a military area, the spouses aren't here. So, you have to work with the kids, but I only had one so far that still had a child home at school hours. So her 3 yr old played big sister to my 2 year old and believe it or not after they had a couple of minutes of the I'll stare you down first time (lol) they played for over an hour together really well. I think we only had one interuption. I haven't really incorportated a one on one spa escapeyet, but I tell them how to get a few minutes of me time and to make sure they do. I either sample products on them or let them sample them on themselves, depending on what they seem interested in. I also leave open an opportunity for a spa escape and interest them in a makeover, but I haven't had a set appt yet on makeup, which surprised me. I had to have a friend reassure me that mine looks good. Thinking I might not be a good example, but I always have people ask me how I do my eyes, so I think I do okay. lol
Just to let you know the one on one, When I do my intro with them, usually on the phone, I try to find what they are interested in. Plus, I pull out the product guide, because it is a one on one, I am trying to maximize my sales as much as possible, but try not to be pushy about it. So far thats working for a few extra sales. I plan to provide really good customer service, so I can get friends names from them and repeat business.
Also, if anyone has any extra ideas with this, I am open to it. Thanks

Nickie,
For the one on one approach,do you offer them any discount or give them a gift for their time?Do you just do a spa express type format or are you going through the whole thing?i think i would like to try this.

I think I might try the one on one approach on a few people too. Don't have anything to lose and alot to gain from it! I'm sure once they experience it they would want to share it with their friends too. They could think of it as a test spa lol. Spa guinea pigs lolsmileys/smiley36.gif
Let me know what works best for you, I'm looking for any ideas at all.Talk to you all soon!

I got my first recruit from a one on one. She was unable to make it to my house but wanted the spa. I showed her and she fellin love. It was so much fun pampering her too because we got to hang out, chat and talk without being bothered by anyone. She ended up selling me on the face cleaner. Her face looked great after she was done so I'm trying to hurry up and get my old stuff taken care of! haha
