Hi,
I have a party tonight and when I pre-profiled, someone said her 9 year old
daughter has been diagnosed with prickly heat. It's on her arms and it
sounds more like eczema. She also said it never goes away, which is more
like eczema. Prickly heat rashes are supposed to go away within a few days.
Anyway, I know what to recommend for eczema, but I was thinking, if
someone actually had a prickly heat rash, would you recommend the diaper
cream?
Thanks!

The baby line lotion has really made a difference. My second and third son both have pretty severe eczema, and I find that applying it all over their bodies aftertheir nightly bath has almost totally eradicated it. We used to use a steroid cream, but I was concerned about internal organ damage from daily use. The baby lotion has really helped with my boys' eczema--also you might recommend that your guest switch from Tide or other laundry detergent to Dreft.

Allison was asking about prickly heat... I'm not sure if the diaper rash would do it, just thinking about it, prickly heat is when your skin reacts to heat right? or am I wrong? if I'm thinking right, the barrier of the diaper rash cream may not be the best.... this one would be a good question for home office.

Sorry, read this:
It's on her arms and it sounds more like eczema. She also said it never goes away, which is more like eczema.
and so therefore was sharing my own experience with this line in regards to my family's eczema. Didn't mean to offend you.

Ah, then perhaps next time I will start a separate thread to share personal experiencere: something that is mentioned if it doesn't pertain exactly to the title of the thread. Thanks for the guidance.

I'm sorry if I said anything in this post to offend you, it wasn't meant to offend you, just saying that the original poster had asked a question about prickly heat and diaper cream and I wanted to respond to her original question. smileys/smiley5.gif

No harm, no foul. I just didn't want to step on any toes since I'm very new here.
