I was chatting with one of my top team leaders yesterday and sharing mystory of how I came to find and join my Network Marketing company.
I always say I "sponsored myself" because I knewone of the company ownersfrom the internet, through a forum we both frequented. We were with the same nutritional company but not upline/downline.
I had a ton of respect for his integrity so I paid attention to what he did.
When his signature link changed,I clicked to know more.
After a year and a half of researching, I was aware ofa few people who were involved.
When I finally decided I wanted to do this business, I contacted one person off of that forum that I frequented and I contacted him by email. Email was a littlemore reliable then.
I told him I was ready to go, what did I need to do and would he sponsor me?
HE NEVER EMAILED OR CALLED ME BACK.
I waited a few days and then contactedthe owner(who I always refer to as my sponsor.) He ended up offering me some options as to who I wanted to sponsor under. There were only 2 legs direct to the company. I asked some questions and picked the person who best suited my style in this business. It was kind of like an arranged marriage.
About 6 months later, I heard from my initial contact in the business. Of course, it was WAY too late at that point.
He would easily be retired from his military career by now had he responded to my email. He did receive it and was "busy" and didn't think too much about it. He's a great guy and it would have been nice to help him out.
Point is - what if a future top income earner has contacted you already? What if heshe has already filled out a request from your website asking for more information? What if he/she is contacting you today?
If you KNEW this, would you wait another second to make the call? Would you ponder whether now is the right time or would you jump on it?
You would make the call, wouldn't you? I hope you answer yes!
Today, as you think about putting off making a call, or you feel fearful in some way, remember this story and then RUN, don't walk to the phone, and embrace your future!
Not everyone who requests information about your business is serious and ready RIGHT NOW. But, a few weeks, months or even years from now, they may be.
Put yourself out there as a professional and uncover every stone!

This is GREAT Jackie, thank-you!!
I am not a phone person, but here lately I have forced myself to do the "phone thing" more. It has proved very beneficial!

The phone is the #1 tool for building strong relationships with your prospects and your team members.
I used to have a terrible phone phobia but I made myself get over it to succeed.

Jackie,
What a GREAT reminder about the importance of timely follow-up!!
Some industries even track these thingsto come up withstatistics.
In the car business, people may research their purchase for months -BUT once they've made the decision to buy and start going to car lots - statistics show that they willbuy something within 72 hours.
That means that there is a briefwindow of opportunity thatopens and then closes. ItPAYS to be the ONE who responds to their readiness, in a timely fashion, with superior service. smileys/smiley1.gif
It's never pleasant to call a customer or a prospect only to find out that they went with someone else. smileys/smiley5.gif
