Was looking thru our local paper this morning- typically dont read the classified section- but having a garage sale and was seeing how many in the area tomorrow- anyway-noticed a rather nice sized ad related to A*****- mentioned the company name and was basically a recruitment ad...I still consider myself a newbie on alot of this- but isnt that illegal to do???? This person is on our team- and if it is illegal should I tell her or what???? Dont want her to think I wish I'd done it first so trying to get her in trouble or whatever- I did think about it but understood this was a no no!

Sounds like an uncomfortable situation.
Yes it's a no no UNLESS you have gotten the ad approved by policy & procedures. She may have gotten it approved. You won't know that unless you ask. And she may not know that she has to do so before placing an ad. You can always say something like...
Hey Susie, I saw your ad & it looks great! How long did it take you to get approval from A***? Then go from there.

How long does it take anyway to get ads approved? I have been thinking of tyring one or two as well. Do you have to get the ones on the main site aproved as well (as to where you are putting them)? I didn't understand that clearly in their little disclaimer next to them.

Hey Leah~
I would just ask her.
Just yesterday I got an email from a gal(who I don't know at all)telling me that I was against compliance because she found my profile on another board and my website was listed in there. What she didn't know is that I have this wonderful little email from Jonathan in compliance telling me that I am allowed to do that :D
Just ask before you assume :D

Wellllll -- gotta chime in on this one ---- I actually did have an ad approved by compliance and they SPECIFICALLY said that NO ADS APPROVED BY A**** CAN BE PUT IN THE CLASSIFIEDS SECTION OF ANY PUBLICATION.
This notification from them has caused me to reconsider placing an ad in our local community paper because it is much much cheaper to run a classified ad than it is to place a regular ad in the paper.
Whoever on your team is doing this needs to know that she could forfeit her consultant status for breaking a**** policies.

*Can* you put ads in papers - like a copy of your business card or something?

Chrissy - thanks- After reading the responses on here and trying to do this without me being the bad guy...I ended up calling my sponsor and telling her that I had seen the ad while checking out my garage sale ad this morning and she was going to call her sponsor who actually sponsored her! to find out if she got it approved- but now I see that even if the ad was approved - no way it would be approved to run where she placed it! I am going to email my sponsor and tell her this in case the girl needs additional info!

Are there any preapproved ads that a****** supplies us with and we can fill in our names?

yes, in biz builder there's a new one every month, but I think it says you still have to send it in for approval, but if the only change is your name, phone, website, etc, I don't see that it would take long for approval
