I had somebody ask today what happens if they order a jar candle and don't like it, could they have a refund?
This one caught me off guard and I wasn't sure of the answer. I told
her that, yes, we'd give her a refund. (I figured I could always either
burn it myself or melt it down for samples, or re-sell it if it hadn't
been lit at all.)
How do the rest of you handle returns or damages?
Also, when you retail the jars for $18.95, is that $18.95 PLUS TAX, or
just $18.95, which means tax would be included and our profit would be
less.
I wasn't sure if I understood correctly on that.
Thanks for your help--this group is great! :)

Hi Becky!
Welcome to a wonderful company and a fantastic business. Every day will
bring something new and fun with Mia Bella. smileys/smiley17.gif
I have a "You Betcha" return/exchange policy with my customers. If they
don't love it, I'll take it back for a different scent or a full refund. Why
not?
Chances are they WILL love it, and why risk losing a sale (or a life long
customer?!) If they don't like the candle, I'll put it to good use! smileys/smiley2.gif
With regard to taxes and what to charge, everyone does this a little
differently- especially since not everyone charges the MSRP, some people
charge shipping, some don't, etc. I charge my customers $18.95 and tax,
which comes to $19.99. (When I do booths or fairs etc, I just round up to
$20.00.)

Thank you--this is great advice. I think I'll adopt that policy as well.
Also, thank you for clarifying about the sales tax. My dh and I were
talking about it this morning, and we thought that's what we would do,
but weren't sure.
