Academic consulting firm seeks editing assistants for contractual short-term assignments. This position offers employees the opportunity to work remotely around their own schedule.
Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong writing ability as evidenced by writing samples and academic transcripts. Recent graduates and students currently enrolled in professional programs (i.e. Law, Business, Medicine, etc.) are encouraged to apply.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
* Completing editing and research projects in accordance to tight deadlines
* Proofreading and correcting written materials
* Following appropriate style and grammar guidelines
* Collaborating with other in-house teams of writers and other staff
The ideal candidate must:
* Be able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
* Possess strong proofreading, editing, and organizational skills
* Have a solid working knowledge of MLA, APA, & CMS formats
* Possess skills in desktop publishing, Internet research, and technical documentation
* Have access to both a reliable PC and Internet connection

I did something like this before and did not like the way it was ran and how salary was determined. This was a while back so it could be better now that it is under a new person. Clear = Clarify.
