View Full Version : Pajama Party Auction Game

03-23-2006, 06:42 AM
I went to the Home and Garden Party last night! Very low attendance otherwise this auction and the other games she played would have been more fun. I felt a little sorry for this new consultant because 2/3 of the guests didn't show up.

Here is the game. I think it would be perfect for a casual spa party or Hostess/Client Appreciation party! I do a Hostess/Client Appreciation once a year. They are a lot of fun!

Earn as many auction $$ as you can by doing the following:

Wear your favorite pajamas- $2,000

Bring an adult friend- $1,000

Wear your favorite slippers-$1,000

Wear curlers in your hair- $1,000

RSVP to your hostess-$1,000

Arrive on time-$1,000

Bring an outside order- $2,000

Book a party- $5,000

Bring someone interested in BC- $5,000

(business opportunity)

Bring the PJ's you wore the night before in a paper bag - $3,000

Once you successfully bid on a prize, you can not bid anymore and forfeit your auction dollars!

She auctioned off merchandise last night. I was thinking the auction would be a great way to give away discontinued product or our most popular sellers.

I booked 2 spa parties last night during this party! It was supposed to start at 6:30, but didn't get going until 7:30. While we were waiting, I booked parties. I never get into what I do at another consultant's party, but she kept asking me! I like to enjoy other parties so I can relax too and not be constantly the consultant. Just so you know I don't go to other companies parties to book and recruit! I go to shop and relax!!

Have a great day everyone!

That would be a very fun party, and could be extremely benefital to you with those prospects coming in hopefully!

One question, how many prizes were there to auction? I guess it wouldn't matter, as long as it was proportional to the number of guests. You wouldn't want to give away too many $$ worth.
Thank you for the idea! I will have to use that as a client appreciation party. How fun?!

She had 3 items for 9 guests that were supposed to be there. Only 3 showed up so we all got a prize. The dollars were fun money and you can make them whatever you want!

Yes, it does sound like fun to do as a casual thing or appreciation. I don't think I will be incorporating it into my regular spas, but it would be fun for a GNO with friends!

That sounds like an awsome game!

Would you do one with your regular spa party or would you just do them at your appreciation parties? Just curious!

I have a spa party on Sunday that is Titled Wacky, Tacky PJ party! The hostess (who may be signing up Sunday) was the one who picked the theme! She told everyone to come in their wackiest, tackiest and most comfortable pj's! I told her I would give a door prize to the one who had the best for the theme.

This should be tons of fun!

Bumping this up because it was a lot of fun and different! Reminds me I need to book another one of these at my house. Wacky, tacky pj party with the auction game.

I am trying to help give you some ideas that have been tried in the past.

Call me dumb but when you do these point games you almost have to include the rules in the invite.I use the postcard for spapostcards so how would that work, or you design your own?

I send out fliers for this. I generally only book the auction game for my house. The last one I did was aMother's Day Appreciation spa.

I send out pajama party invitations and write the wacky, tacky part on there. I have never done that with an auction spa, but it sounds like even more fun!

I am not into playing games at my Spa's....... however I think this would be so fun! I am thinking about having a Spa at my house just to see how much fun it would be in person! Thanks for the great ideas Vicki! You have sent out some amazing ideas all day, thanks for all the effort to keep this board informative!

Can you give an example of what you actioned off? Was it the samples or regular sized items?

I used to play games all the time. Everyone had a blast. But on my expence. It seemed I was giving to many $$'s away!!! Especially when I never got anyone to schedule a spa.

The auction is the last thing I do before everyone leaves. For Mother's Day, I think I had full size product. Other games, I have minis. They can be divided.

There was a thread about minis in a decorated bag and passed around for bookings. Was that the book to look bag? I remember Miz Day Spa had some cute ones made up. I'll see if I can find that in the archives too.Edited by: jmeauxspaqueen

Christy, I missed your post when responding to Darcy. This board is supposed to be informative as well as encouraging. Without that, it would be just like every other board. Going back thru the threads to pull these up is not a problem! I forget how many new(er) consultants haven't read these at all.

The auction game is a special one! Wacky, Tacky pj party was thought up by one of my hosts. It remains one of my popular themes along with margarita.
