We are in a volunteer business. Think about it. You choose your company, your products, your hours, and , through these choices, you choose your income.

In a regular "job", there is typically some sort of accountability - a quota, a boss, a review, etc.

So, my question for you is - how do you create accountability in your business?

If you are not doing this, I highly encourage you to add this into your business.

Pick a partner to be an accountability buddy with. It could be your upline, downline, crossline, or anyone with whom you have a solid relationship and will TRULY hold accountable. This is no place to go soft and waffle.

Together, come up with a weekly accountability and action sheet that you will both use.

AT the beginning of the week, exchange your proposed weekly action plan. Include items on this such as self development and personal work.

At the end of the week, exchange your completed form and what you actually accomplished.

Set a 15 minutes to discuss this with your buddy and pat yourselves on the back and/or brainstorm ways to improve upon your goals.

Try this for 90 days and watch your business, and your confidence soar!

My whole team holds me accountable. I have to be available to all of them, to guide them, to lead them, to answer questions.

That responsibilty holds me accountable and keeps me in check.

You're right Tracey. I AM accountable to my team. I have to make sure I am building myself as a leader so that I can be there for them. Good point. smileys/smiley1.gif

Thanks Jackie for the information. I would like to try that ! I do believe you do need to set goals for your business and your life. You need to set a plan and work towards that plan. Remember it's not going to come to you. You need to put 100% in your business and see how it will take off. smileys/smiley2.gif

I did something like that when my friend sold scrapbooking stuff and I was selling romance products. It helped keep us going strong. smileys/smiley1.gif

Thanks Jackie! It DOES help you stay on top of your business if you are accountable to someone. I think my tremedous sponsor has been keeping me in check. I can go to her for anything and she is always there to help. She has also become a VERY good friend.

Blessings,

The MORE people you tell about your plans, the more accountability you will have. Put your GOALS out there and make people aware of them and you'll be accountable every time they inquire about your progress.

If you want the ULTIMATE in accountability - tell your Mom! I'm telling ya, I said stuff to her 25 years ago that she still reminds me about. smileys/smiley17.gif
