Hello!
I've got a website up and running a wordpress platform.
I also have a list of 365 daily tips in a random.txt file that I would like to use to randomly display a tip each day on my homepage.
I've tried a number of plugins, but they just look really bad.
Is there anyway to use a bit of php script actually inside the homepage file itself to pull a new tip from the random.txt file each time someone visits the page?
If so, and you're willing to take it on... How much do you charge? Please go easy on me, I'm a WAHM, too! :)

Something like this should work: o z i z | PHP - Random Text (http://www.oziz.co.uk/scripts/php_random.php). Where on your home page do you want to display the tips?

There is a plugin called MaxBlogPress Stripe Ad (http://www.maxblogpress.com/plugins/msa/) that places a strip across the top of your page where you can place text.
You can set up as many "tips" as you want and set the frequency and order they show. You can also customize the text color, BG color, etc.
This plugin is normally used for text advertising but will work for non-linked text also.
Go to my blog(in my signature) and you will see it in action at the top of the page.
