I was just wondering if any of you ladies have attended or held a "group spa" My director scheduled one for last week. She scheduled it at a Round Table Pizza parlor on a Thursday night. (not a busy night) I didn't go..........smileys/smiley13.gif...I did have something other plans that evening. I couldn't quite grasp how a "spa" could be held at a pizza parlor. She e-mailed me and said only one consultant in our group took her up on it, so they cancelled. So to get to my question have you attended one and if so where was it held and how did it work? Did it go over really well or a cold reception???? Any thoughts on the subject are welcomed. The idea sounds good to me, but I just can't imagine how it would work ????????? What do you all think???Edited by: minispasbyjo

At a pizza place?? I can't imagine. If it was a different location, it would probably go over pretty well.
Sorry, I haven't done a group spa. I've done pampering expos, but that's it.

I'm curious what the plan was for the spa at a pizza place. Who was invited as the guests?
When you say group, do you mean an organization that would be too large for 1 consultant to handle? I was a attendant at one of those before I joined BC. We met where our group (a moms' group) normally meets (maybe that was the pizza place for them??). We all sat in a big circle, with 1 consultant to every 6 members. The one who booked the spa led, while the others passed the products and assisted. It was not presented as a sales thing, but a pampering time. She got lots of bookings and recruits! Not me, not that time.smileys/smiley2.gif
You probably didn't mean that, but that was what I thought of as a group spa.smileys/smiley5.gif

The invite from my director was,"lets try something I learned at leadership" so "come to a group spa, bring 3 friends, (customers) who have been thinking of having a spa. I will do all of the presentation, you bring your spa supplies and pamper your friends, sales and bookings from your group are your own." I sent her an e-mail today and asked that she call me and explain "how" it would have worked, but I haven't heard fromher yet. I just couldn't see how you could get relaxed at a pizza parlor.

Our Unit has done a few group spas and they have gone over very well. We do ours at the holiday inn where we have our meetings and basically each consultant brings a few guest and the director runs the spa. Our director ( Theresa Bettencourt ) uses these for new consultants or consultants that didnt have any spas on the books and she shows them ( Consultants ) how to do a spa and how to close and recruit. The booking and recruiting percentage has been very high and the consultants that particpate make some money..
