I heard it was announced on a director call this week that we are changing requirements for staying active. It's going back to $100 every 4 months. (which is great!). I don't believe the discounts change. So non-vip's who order $100 will only get 25%. Are there any directors here who can confirm this?
Also, I'm wondering if a consultant can still be inactive for a year before being dropped.

Thanks for this info. Wahm.com should be re-titled "here's where you heard it first."

When I saw last month's 40% off order of $150 (I think that was it) I was thinking maybe this new discount level/active level wasn't working out.

I agree $100 every four months is doable. There is not a huge difference between 25 and 30%, esp with sales, esp for personal users. I

Update: A director told me today that the $100/4 months is only good for Consultants & Sr. Consultants, and it's only good thru the end of this year. It's supposed to be a bridge. Vip's and up still have to do $150/3months. I agree, LadyJ, that the new requirements are probably not working for many and they had to do something. I would rather they go back to 100/4 permanently. Who knows, maybe they will. Let's see how the rest of the year plays out.
And yes, consultants can still go inactive for a year before being dropped.
They are supposed to be sending out an email explaining all of this. I'm a vip and haven't gotten anything yet. Any Cons or Sr Cons hear anything?

SO I did hear this ont he call and call Director Services to confirm. From May 1-the end of 2010, the ACTIVE requirements have been changed to a $100 order within every 4 month rolling period to stay active.

I did also confirm verbally that it is 12 months until consultants are dropped from Inactive, but I was told that it is 12 months from the date of the last order, not 12 months after she becomes inactive.

It is still a $150 retail order to reactivate at any point while a consultant is inactive ( which would be from month 5-month 12 after her last order )

So excited about this adaptation!

Its funny that it didn't occur to me today that Rick Going's "flush out the personal users" apparently didn't work. Some of you may know better than me, those like Sherri who are closer to BC as a director and more on the front lines, but it seems to me that after anyone who was active in 09 was active thru March, and then became in active in April.

I don't know this, but I feel that in April sales just took a nose drive, or something!

I told my husband about the return of the $100, but keeping the discount level as current, and he said, "that's a good compromise".

Also I want to say Sherri when I joined some BC yahoo groups I ran across your group and it is well done.

Also there was a reference to this board on facebook concerning the revised $100 active. We err i thinking that consultants know everything about everything, I heard that if you are inactive BC doesn't send you out emails. Don't know if this is true or not.

BC is feeling their way into trying to make things better.

Thanks Lady J~

I think we are all still figuring out the new systems and plans as we go along. I try to learn them as quickly as my brain will let them make sense to me, and then figure out how I can utilize them best to grow my business and help consultants grow their spa businesses too.

This will continue to be a year of big change and adjustments as they "tweek" the new programmes. BC is a smart company and will make adjustments with the intention of helping us grow our businesses in the field.

I read an article in my newspaper last year about the new ways of business and how job security relates to many industries today. My biggest take away from that article was that "Your best job security today comes from your ability to adapt to change quickly" Change is a constant today in all businesses and the best you can do is choose to adapt positively and quickly.

SO the 100 every every 4 months rolling is only until the end of the year?

That is an awesome thought,Sherri!
I've heard so many others that in their jobs the change is hurting them MUCH worse then our company!
I'm still lovin it! April was a tough month for me, but persevering through the tough times is what makes us stronger!

Yes, the $100 every 4 months is only guaranteed thruogh December at this point, but I am continuing to be encouraged by the corpprate responses to our requests.

For example, Gary's Blog today is a very transparent explanation of what factors ( mostly external ) have caused more backorders for us this year. If you have not yet read it, it really makes things make more sense.

And, just today, I learned that for next month, they have extended the clinet sales to consultants all month, not just at the beginning of the month. We had shared with the company that even though this strategy made sense, it was not working for our casual consultants wanting to share all month, and they have adapted the strategy. In June , the 15% off client sale items will be available to consultants all month long at 15% off and at the beginning of the month for 25% off for some extra profits for you.

They are listening and recognizing the there are many changes that we have had to adjust to this year~ choose to do what works for you.

One last thing that I heard this week was even the word change is uncomfortable for us. Replace it withthe word adaptations, which just feels more positive for us.
