Have any of you left a successful career with a party plan company to join Mia Bella? If you have, why did you make the move and how successful have you been since changing companies?

Hi Tazsa!smileys/smiley17.gif
This is a little different from what you may be asking but...
I left Corporate America withmy own successful law practice to create financial freedom in the homebased business industry.
Just direct sales/party plans never excited me, because I think it's extremely difficult to make a true huge RESIDUAL income in them. Also, many require high monthly qualifications to receive a check... yikes!
Workingwith Mia Bella for the past two years has far surpassed anything than I personally ever anticipated.
People can absolutely make fortune$ in Mia Bella, especially with the recent developments!
I need to run.... phone ringing.... will be continued!
Hope you're doing GREAT!smileys/smiley27.gif

I left the corporate world too! Now home parties never excited me too much, which is why I wasn't much into party plan type businesses. The Corporate world was exhausting me, I was looking for something different.
So when I ran across Mia Bella I thought, "Really?"Mia Bella excited me so much! No home parties, no monthly quotas, and I get to run this business the way I want to! My own sales/specials, my own pricing...WOW!! Not to mention the candles....OH double WOW!
I have been with Mia Bella for one year, have built a nice team, and have never looked back! No corporate world, no parties, no quotas to meet AND lots of great product, lots of FANTASTIC teammates, and LOTS of residual income!!
HOOTIE HOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Tazsa and welcome smileys/smiley1.gif
I was with a couple of other direct sales companies in the past and I feel like I finally found my home with Mia Bella. The training and support are awesome..much better then I experienced before. The candles are incredible and since I am a HUGE candle lover, I knew this business was for me. I also was not into doing home parties... with my husband working 2nd shift and 3 children, I didn't want to leave them with sitters.
I quit my other business last Feb and joined Mia Bella without any hesitations after trying the candles. I became a Diamond in my first month and am building a team to work with along with my customer base.
LOVE THIS BUSINESS! smileys/smiley17.gif
Blessings,
Alison Boers

I have experience with8 different home based businesses, and two of them twice so that totals 10 different endeavors/adventures - lol and over 14 years experience with direct sales, recruiting, fund raisers, facials, home parties, etc. I have tried them all it seems -lol!
BUT, only in6 short months, Ihave had the most success and personal satisfaction not to mention FUN, with Scent-Sations. I absalutely love it! Plus, I believe this fits me the best, which is so important. Because if you don't love what you do, then you can never truly find "success"

I will admit to having a couple failed attempts, but only one was a party plan. The reason that one failed was not because of the products, but because I never actually tried to do it as a party plan. I tried internet sales, face to face retail sales (which you could do with that company as well). The products were nice, but in the end I made so much more with this company than I have with the party plan - and the other MLM companies - combined - those that bought in a "small way" with my party plan, bought in a "big way" with Mia Bella's smileys/smiley36.gifEdited by: dreamakr36

Hi Tazsa! (again)smileys/smiley36.gif
I am just back from INDIANA!!!
I was going to add, before the phone rang last night, I am getting paid SIX LEVELS of RESIDUAL INCOME in Mia Bella, soon to beSEVEN!!!!smileys/smiley17.gifsmileys/smiley17.gifsmileys/smiley17.gifsmileys/smiley17.gifsmileys/smiley17.gifsmileys/smiley17.gifsmileys/smiley17.gif
I never looked at a direct sales/party plan company, because from what I've heard/seen, you just really can never make a RESIDUAL income. And, in Mia Bella, no matter how high your income is, you only have to be on our Famous Candle of the Month Club, which is an incredible value, including your WEBSITE, in order to receive your check!!!!!!!smileys/smiley20.gif
WOW!
I just received a great PM from someone here who also left Corporate America to join Mia Bella and she's on my team, sponsored by Margey.
This is really fun and now especially with all of the very wonderful additions, including customer online ordering on our sites, MIA BELLA is the place for me and so many great people!
Have FUN!!smileys/smiley32.gif

Hi Tazsa,
I will also admit to several failed business before Scent-Sations. When I came to Scent-Sations, I really did not believe that it was possible to be successful with any MLM or NWM company. Scent-Sations truly changed my view of this business. Success can easily be had with this company.
I wish you much success!
Many Blessings,
Natalie

What would be the first step in really reaching success financially. I will be the first to admit, I have no clue on how to start getting the residual income. I have been reading the "how to" files and all the info out there to start this business and honestly it all scares me. I feel more comfortable doing the retail, the parties and all. BUT I really want to learn how to make much much more out of this. I need to be successful for myself. I have always dreamed of so many things and I know I am the only one who can make this happen. Like I said, it scares me. Where do I start? By getting people to sign up for the COTM program?? Then what?

A good place to start would be to do some reading! I've got a list of good reading you can choose from - but always have a book going, even if it's for only 15 minutes a day.
Show folks the value in the COTM program, and if nothing else, show them the value in the products. Get referrals - see if they know anyone that may be interested in getting wonderful candles sent to their home every month.
As you get people signing up, remember they will be looking to you for guidance. If you don't feel you are up to the task just yet, don't worry, that is something you can learn. You have your sponsor/upline andtons of experience with various people right hereto guide you in this process!
Hope this helps!

Thanks again for your input.
Okay, this is a little off the subject. Well, REALLY off the subject. When a customer is able to place an order online and they pay $18.95 for a jar candle, how much does the distributorpocket? The entire $18.95?

When online ordering goes live, I believe there is to be a small handling fee that the company will keep - so itshould be something ilke this - (I hope this is correct):
Customer pays 18.95 (plus tax and shipping, but that's not part of this equasion)
deductproduct cost of 9.50
deducthandling fee of ?
we get the balance in our monthly commission checks

Hi Tazsa, no, becuase the candle is coming from corporate, and they have to make their share!
I would like to think we would make the difference between the 18.95 and our cost. Not sure if they will pay us less becuase they order online though. They havent given many details yet.

I think a lot of it depends on your definition of success. Most people probably define success with money. Even that can vary, how much money makes you successful.
I was in another party plan company, and at first I felt I was successful at it. It was easy to book parties and I made a lot (to me it was a lot) of money. However, I never got really into the products and it got to the point where I just burned out.
Then I found this wonderful candle company! I joined in Dec and while I have not made as much money (yet) that’s my own fault. I have not really tried to do parties or retail the candles much. I will do those things but for now I’m working on online marketing and other things. I feel more successful now because I love my candles and I’m not afraid to talk to people about them! I’m not afraid to make phone calls anymore, when someone requests info off my site. I know I can make a lot of money with this company (and I will) but that’s not my only definition of success. My happiness with the products and the company are a bigger factor for me. :)
