The other day I sent into compliance an ad that I wanted to get approved to be used in a doctor's office waiting room. This is what they asked me to do to reviseit (of course, I've editted the portion that says A***)smileys/smiley2.gif:

Add the following advertising disclaimer to the bottom of both ads: A*** IS A REGISTERED TRADEMARK OF A*** Inter***. NOT PRODUCED OR DISTRIBUTED BY A**** Inter***. THESE MATERIALS ARE NOT SPONSORED BY, ENDORSED BY OR AFFILIATED WITH A**** INTER***.

The last line is particularly troublesome to me because I fear that whoever reads my display might not think I'm a "real" consultant. Am I reading too much into it???? What do you all think?

I wouldn't worry too much about it...just type it small. Sometimes it is easier to just do what they say :). YouARE clearly affiliated with AI but your materials aren't...maybe you could clearify after the disclaimer statement...?

I am wondering if we have to really get "permission" to post up things if we have that statement at the bottom...?

I think they want to make it sound more like it is YOUR BUSINESS advertisement and not thiers. Thats all it is. As long as it is somewhere on the ad (probably in small print) I don't think it would bother most people.

You may use the trademark but they are not endorsing your ad, you are. Creativity can work around this so that they know you are independent of A******.

Just my 2 cents!</TD></TR>

If you notice most of the materials that comes across has that, and it because they were created by consultants, not the company. Don't worry too much.

maybe addjust beforethat: "this promotional material is produced and supplied by an independent consultant of A*I*" smileys/smiley2.gifsmileys/smiley4.gifsmileys/smiley36.gif

Thanks for the input. I wanted to keep the "spirit" of their addendum alive without feeling like I needed to sacrifice anything on my end.

Off I go to edit!smileys/smiley2.gif
