Someone from another group had mentioned how the samples kind of smelled like plastic. Have any of you came across this problem? I am thinking of buying one, since the person I was going to buy one from did me wrong and sold it to someone else!, but I don't want to spend 195.00 for one if they don't smell like the scent.
Also, if anyone has one for sale less than the company price let me know! p_price42@yahoo.com.

I think they smell like plastic. I had one made up for me and didnt like it. I would make up my own scent samples and not pay for the 195.00 There are many ways you can create it. I practically ordererd tons of different votives and I have a good size basket and I put them in sachets or nice baggies that fits the votives and label them. They smell better and its cheaper.
this is just my opinion. smileys/smiley2.gif

Hi, yeah everyone smells differently, but that is just what I experienced. Since I started this business, I would accumalate votives by the candle of the month and always take one out. I would also order a bunch of different scents. Or just ask the girls if there selling any votives... you can start up your own basket. Go buy a nice basket at Michaels or Walmart. Buy the 2x4 baggies, they fit perfectly in them. I would also order labels from www.roteck.com (http://www.roteck.com) they come out sooooo nice and professional. You can put the scent and your website or actually what ever you want on it. And there you go !! They look so much better then printing it off the computer. But if money is a problem get the labels and print them off and use color the name of the scent. You can also include some bella bars.. start off like that at first and if you feel you would like to purchase the bag, look around for a used one that someone is selling. Good luck and if you need any help. let me know.. I have tons of ideas smileys/smiley2.gif

Hey Frances!
I would like to know about site where you bought your sample bag from too!
Hoew did you make your samples? What kind of containers did you use? I'd like to make samples from the molds but wouldn't they loose their scent after awhile not being in a sealed container? smileys/smiley17.gif smileys/smiley17.gif smileys/smiley17.gif smileys/smiley17.gif smileys/smiley17.gif smileys/smiley17.gif

Thanks Christina,
Those are good ideas and certainly much cheaper! Actually I have had a couple of people tell me they will sell their bag to me but now I don't know what to do. I think I want to bang my head on a wall right now. LOL I am confused. But more and more the votives ar sounding better to me. I didn't think of that before. Thank you! I will figure it all out sooner or later. I hope by next weekend before I have my open house!!

Hi Pam. well I think having the votives on hand and having people actually get to see them and hold them,is a better marketing approach. But remember everyone is different, but this is YOUR business, you have plenty of time. See if it works out for you, if not you know what to do. smileys/smiley2.gif

I don't think they smell like plastic. Perhaps you can find a rep in your area who has a bag that you can check out for yourself. Personally I like to see something in person to be able to evualate the quality. For myself I wanted something that was professional looking and easy. I did not have the time or talent to make up my own bag and samples. Also, I think you might be able to order one and return it for a refund if you don't like it but you need to check with the company to be sure.
