As many of you know we recently saw a pretty bad turn of events with a recruiter verbally abusing some members of this board. This verbal abuse was taken off the board and effected some board members (and others) facebooks, myspaces, and emails.

As of Friday night I contacted the owner of the company that was being represented by these recruiters personally to find out what the heck was going on and to let them know about the obvious abuse that was occurring and how their companies name was being represented. After a lengthy discussion I turned over the names of the two recruiters per request of the company. I was told that I would be contacted back pending investigation. I received an interesting call a bit later (within an hour) asking me to verify the names again and if possible give the phone number and email the person(s) was using. I did and found out something interesting. The recruiters that have been showing up recently and spamming the board and board members emails are NOT with the companies that they claim to be representing. There is no record of EITHER name with EITHER company!!!! After some investigation it seems that these recruiters are trying to "get back" for being let go from the companies that they state the represent. They have kept their original (non-signed) paperwork and reused it.

Here's how this is working just so everyone is aware and none of us fall victim to this.

They spam a board advertising for said company. Usually the company doesn't know about this unless they have someone who is working for the company on the same board which is rare.
We apply for the position and everything seems normal. They ask for our info, we supply it, and bam paperwork. The paperwork, though legit to the company, is not real. It is paperwork the recruiter is recycling to make it appear to be legit. Once sent it, faxed in, etc they begin this cycle of not contacted back or verbal abuse, or anything really that will come back making the company look bad. We as contractors in turn get upset, post about the company, and bam....they win. The company looks horrible due to the issues and they go on to the next person. No money is passed so there is no criminal act and the company that fired them now has a bad reputation on the very forum boards that they hire people from.

Just so you don't get caught up in this look for some warning signs. Of course the usual things like the email addie and such but also look at the website they say they are hiring from. If the site says "will contact for a test reading" and they haven't yet you have paperwork in hand...that could be a huge flag. If the site has pictures, blurbs, etc for the reader and you haven't been asked for that yet you are "starting" tomorrow. You might want to ask what gives. Companies paying by paypal. This is sort of a red flag and sort of night. Many of the psychic lines now are also adult lines which are prohibited from paying for services via paypal due to the adult nature.

The best way to make sure if you feel unsure is to go to the company website and contact them directly to find out for sure. If customer service doesn't know who they are or the head dispatcher doesn't chances are they aren't with the company. Also find out who to contact for a position with the company. If it doesn't match or internet searches for positions with the company don't match the info you have....red flag.

I just wanted to share this to make sure everyone knew what was going on. :)

I am sorry what happened. Maybe you were being too harsh or to mean. Their is always two sides to every story. Instead of you placing posts on websites, just pray to God and ask God to help that person. You should never want to get even by placing ads online about people. Just pray to God.

Hello to Everyone! I would like to make a comment about the posts regarding employment opportunities with Buckwood and Psychic Power Network. Per a very informative call from Cabaret on this board, we are checking into this matter very seriously. This person (with numerous alias's) is not a recruiter for us. Ive been with them as a hiring manager and recruiter for many years, as well as, a member of this group-I recognize many user names here, so some of you know who I am. We do offer a legitimate employment opportunity and if you are interested in a position, please contact me directly. Also, if you had any encounters regarding this issue that you would like to share any information, feel free to contact me. Thanks and I hope you all have a wonderful evening.
