Alright guys, I signed up yesterday after filling your board up with questions for the past week (not to mention several people's pm boxes). And now, I'm waiting...and waiting... I held the leftover wax from my french vanilla votive up to justababy's (my almost-18-month old kiddo) nose for him to smell, but quickly pulled it back away as he kept trying to bite it, lol. Kind of amuses me how he tries to eat these, but just throws my other candles, even the ones that actually have "fruit" in them, across the floor.

Anyhow, I'm just bored and trying to figure out what I can be doing now even though I don't have anything yet. Anyone have any suggestions or tips for the how to get off to a good start?

Thanks in advance,
Laticia

Since you don't have your products just yet, (which won't really take long to get), you can focus on a couple things to fill your spare time.

<LI>Creating a generic letter to friends and family (one of those "what we've been up to" kind of letters). Put in a small blurb about your new business - just enough to make them want to ask.</LI>
<LI>Find out if you know anyone that would be willing to hold a candle party for a date down the road (schedule as many of these as you are comfortable with)</LI>
<LI>Start internet marketing - find some free to advertise sites, and advertising folders in the zillions of forums online. </LI>
<LI>Check in your back office and read the "Roadmap to Success" and begin to customize it for yourself. </LI>
<LI>In the back office there are also tons of documents you can download and customize</LI>
<LI>Check out http://miabella.ca/messageboard/index.php?s=c9ea62009f305c9b (http://miabella.ca/messageboard/index.php?s=c9ea62009f305c9b4da6fd12ec326544&amp;act=i dx) 4da6fd12ec326544&amp;act=idxto see what forms you can find on there to customize</LI>
<LI>You can start to figure out what you'd put in a welcome package for new recruits</LI>
<LI>Begin building small packages for those inquiring on the products or business</LI>
<LI>Begin building packages for fundraising opportunities (the reason for the package building is to have some things available immediately - don't go overboard on any of them, just 3-5 each to start until you see how many you will go through)</LI>
<LI>If you need business cards, check out vistaprint.com to see what you can get. They often run specials.</LI>

I hope that's enough to keep you a little busy while you wait! smileys/smiley36.gif

Welcome Laticia!smileys/smiley17.gif

You made a great choice!!

Margey is a great sponsor and MIA BELLA ROCKS!

Have Fun! I know justababysmileys/smiley36.gif will too!

I would go to our Team Yahoo Groups and your Mia Bella back office. There is so much great information there. Go through your "Roadmap to Success" in downloadable documents.

Listen to some of the recorded calls in the Message Section.

Feel free to call me and we can brainstorm and have FUN!

Thanks!

I've already looked through the roadmap and a bunch of the other documents and I looked through a little of the stuff in the yahoo groups, but definitely haven't covered it all yet. I'm working on it.

I've got a question though (surprise, surprise, huh?). I was thinking about calling some places in the next town towards the end of this week, maybe early next week. I was thinking along the lines of tanning salons, a chiropractic/acupuncture place that I know of, etc. There's also a psychic lady who has a business down there...maybe I'll call her too and see what she says. You never know. Anyways, my question is how do you get the person that you need to talk to on the phone? Usually it's a secretary or cashier or whatever that answers the phones in businesses. Do you ask for the owner or the supervisor or manager or what? I'm just worried that I'd call somewhere and the owner would answer and get offended if I asked him to talk to his supervisor, lol. But, then again, I don't want to go into the whole speel of things only to have a cashier tell me that she can't make these kinds of decisions. How do you guys start off these phone calls and make sure you've got the right person on the phone?
