Has anyone used or does anyone use Dead Sea Minerals products from Israel and do you know of any Direct Sales companies that sell them?
A friend of mine ( a guy LOL) bought a dead sea mineral set. Very dainty set wrapped up in beautiful packaging.
They had the prettiest blue and yellow specks in them! The minerals! :)
VERY cool!
Anyway, one of the products was a "mask" that leaves your skin feeling silky smooth.
He used it when he was watching the hockey game while drinking a beer! :D
Hey!
Guys have skin too!! http://www.armbell.com/wahmsmeetingpla/images/smiles/icon_rofl.gif (http://javascript:emoticon(':damnfunny'))
Anyway, anyone use Dead Sea Minerals?
Thanks
Deb

Sensaria has bath salts with dead sea minerals. :) I am not sure if there are any other products that contain that ingredient but it's late and I am about to fall asleep.
Oh wait, I just thought of a product ... our Rejuvenating Salt Mud but the ingredient is "Okinawan Sea Salt" but I had never heard of that until now. Off to Google I go. :)
A few products have sea salt as the ingredient but the only one I know for sure has Dead Sea Salt is the bath salts that we offer.

Sea salts have magnesium in them which offer incredible benefits to the bod. :)
As far as them being from certain "seas"... I'm not so sure that is really a big deal - other than it is good marketing because it sounds so darn intriguing, romantic, earthy, etc.
There is a company that has a kiosk in a very nice mall here that sells a Dead Sea product... and they are really proud of the stuff (I hear bath salts are $60!). Anyway... I sell a great bath salt that has eucalyptus and ginger added for $28. It's one of my best sellers - especially now for pedicure season to be used as a foot soak to help remove callouses.

I know all about magnesium in Epsom Salts and I take Epsom baths once in a while as a general detox and relaxation experience but a jar of white Epsom salts is NOT NEARLY as exciting as "pretty" minerals.
They also come in BEAUTIFUL GOLD PACKAGING ( this company)
something you have stated here time and time again that PACKAGING matters.
Of course it's marketing!
Everyone markets! So does Jafra.
Everyone uses something on their face ( as you stated the other day) so it is the most competitive market on the planet man.
You talked about "take a way" getting people to switch to our products.
Beautiful packaging and pretty perks matters period.
This "particular" mineral product line was STUNNING. Beautiful pink and blue and yellow specks in the cream.
Much more "visually" appealing than a boring jar of epsom salts that if I had to try and sell I would starve. :)
I forget the name of the company and when I went to find her kiosk she was gone, perhaps moved to another mall or something.
Dunno.
All I know is this woman sells a stunning beautifully packaged line and the products work.
My big burly male friend bought some and LOVED what it did for his face! ( he has some acne scarring from when he was a teenager)
The mask really helped smooth his complexion out. I seen the difference myself.
If it's good enough for my guy friend it's gotta be a GOOD line.
Ah SO many wonderful top notch high quality products out there to choose from! :)
Anyone else?
Any gals here that sells dead sea minerals?
That's ALL I wanna know!
Thanks!

Just found some interesting info on Dead Sea Minerals.
The Dea Sea has a long interesting history. I wouldn't mind travelling there one day! :)
The Dead Sea is a unique Geographical phenomenon, a salty lake in the middle of the African-Syrian Breakage that is the lowest point on earth at 418 meters (1,371 ft) below sea level and falling. It is also the deepest hyper saline lake in the world at 330 m (1,083 ft) deep and 799 m (2,621 ft) below sea level. The superior quality of the water from the Dead Sea, results from an extremely high content of salt. It is one of the saltiest bodies of water on Earth with a salinity of about 30%. This is about 8.6 times greater than the average ocean salinity. It measures 67 kilometers (42 mi) long, up to 18 kilometers (11 mi) wide, and is located on the border between Israel and Jordan.
The Dead Sea has attracted interest and visitors from around the Mediterranean basin for thousands of years. It was a place of refuge for King David and it was one of the world's first health resorts for Herod the Great. It has been the supplier of products as diverse as balms for Egyptian mummification to potash for fertilizers.
In Hebrew the Dead Sea is called the Yam ha-Melakh - meaning "sea of salt", or Yam ha-Mavet - meaning "sea of death".
The Dead Sea area has become a major center for health, research and treatment for several reasons. The mineral content of the waters, the very low content of pollens and other allergens in the atmosphere, the reduced ultraviolet component of solar radiation, and the higher atmospheric pressure at this great depth each have specific health effects.
Because of very high temperatures and intense solar radiation, an extremely high rate of evaporation is measured, which creates a unique kind of haze.
The air - As atmospheric pressure is elevated, it results in a concentration of oxygen that is higher than at sea level. The heat favors the constant evaporation of the sea water and enriches the air with magnesium and bromine. This also contributes to the relaxing effects of a therapeutic stay there and diminishes stress. The air is dry; the rainy season is very short. Thus, the air contains no allergens or pollution. These conditions are ideal for patients suffering from asthma or chronic obstructive bronchial-pathologies.
Other phenomenon is the mud. The flood in the Canyon of the Yehuda Desert brings with the desert soil an organic substance that under the heat is produced mud rich in minerals.
Sulfur Springs situated in its beaches can heal different diseases like Skin Disease (Psoriasis, Eczema, Rosacea), Rheumatism, and other medical conditions.
The Dead Sea has become a world renown health, rehabilitation, and beauty spa region.

Of course it is a marketing tactic but it is a fact that salts from different areas contain different minerals and therefore probably different health benefits too. We have a sea salt store a few miles from me and they sell 100's of different sea salts and blends. Most of it is for seasonings but I know they also sell bath salts too. It's a fun store to go into!
I read up on the Okinawa salt and that was quite interesting. I also read that too about the Dead Sea salts and it is so cool. Thanks for sharing Deb!

You're welcome Monica! :)
There are hundreds of different minerals around the world with hundreds of different properties.
The Dea Sea DEFINITELY has a mysterious appeal to it. People travel there from far and wide to go see it.
If the companies that sell dead sea minerals use that in their marketing I say all the power to them.
"Every" company uses marketing and highlights what is different and unique about their products.
I found the name of that company. I called my guy friend last night. There is one product that I want and I am going to buy. :)
Happy Tuesday everyone!
Deb

Thanks Monica! I will!
The peel off mask my guy friend bought really made a difference in his complexion.
It was smoother and less noticeable and that was only after one small jar.
They also have body care products and manicure products for your hands and nails! :)

That is right Monica.
It is not a Direct Sales company.
They sell in kiosks at Malls, Boutiques, Spa's etc...
