I don't know if I'm posting this in the right forum, I'm a newbie. I am interested in joining a candle selling team, (NOT making my own), like Bittersweet, for example. I'd like to hear from you all which companies are actually legitimate, and you are actually making money. What are the pros and cons of your company. How much money can the average person make? Please let me hear from you, I don't want to sign up with the wrong company. Thanks!!! Edited by: blak_buttafly

Hey there!

This forum is actually designed for people who make their own candles,
so I won't post information about my company here. But I will
send you a pm about Bittersweet. :)

P.S. -- Proverbs 31:10-31 is what I strive for too...been studying that passage for years :)

Hi! I'd be happy to chat with you about White Lily :) I'll PM you this info also, but wanted to share here smileys/smiley1.gif

What are the pros and cons of your company. White Lily has great perks. We are allowed to sell the products anywhere, any way we want(just not on ebay). Our company is growing, so it is great for you to get your name out in your community and build a team (if you wish) since the market isn't oversaturated with our products. We have a variety of products in a variety of scents - both candles and bath/body products. In fact, we are releasing our new catalog on April 1 (let me know if you'd be interested in one, I'd be happy to mail it to you) with a bunch of new and exciting products! All of our products are 100% natural - which is WONDERFUL and probably the best thing about our products in my opinion. We have a great consultant program, great hostess program, and overall great company. There is so much more I could go into smileys/smiley4.gif!

How much money can the average person make? I am a firm believer in "you get out of it what you put into it". If you put in the effort and time to build a successful business, you can and you WILL. That doesn't mean you need to spend all day every day working the business - it just means that you need to set goals for yourself, and then work to meet the goals. I have found that it is easier to break it down by week, or party. For example, if you want to make $500/month, you would need to have one $400+ party each week on average. Not bad! If you build a team, that factors into your earnings as well.

My questions for you would be:
1. What do YOU want out of a business?
2. How do you plan to sell the products (online, home parties, catalog shows, markets/fairs, fundraisers, or a combination?)
3. What are your goals with your business?

I am positive there is a good company out there for you - it is just a matter of narrowing down what your goals and interests are to find the company that is the best fit for you. Many people join a company only to find out too late that it doesn't work for them - so I would definitely encourage you to ask all the questions you can think of ahead of time so you know what you are getting into!

Best of luck, and feel free to contact me if you have any questions - Rebecca@WhiteLilyProducts.com

Sincerely,
Rebecca

Actually glewis, this is the Party Plan forum & not the Candle one. So it'd be alright if you told her about your company. smileys/smiley2.gif It's the Candle forum that's for candlemakers only.

Yup, Gina, it is in the right place now. It just started off in
the candle folder and has been moved since I posted. I already
sent the pm, but if anyone else reading this thread is looking for
information about candle companies, I'd be happy to post more
information about Bittersweet. It is a great time to join, as our
brand new catalogs with lots of new products (including our newly
expanded spa line!) have just been released. Our join price is
very low right now too! We also have a Bittersweet forum down
below, where there is a lot of helpful information about the company
and plenty of helpful people willing to answer questions. :)

blak_buttafly,

There are several great, legitimate candle companies represented here
at the forum. I see Margey has already sent you info on Mia Bella, so I
won't repeat what you've already been told. I love the company and the
candles. We'll have online ordering available Apr 1st, so it's a great
time to join! If you have any other questions about any company, we're
all here to answer them!

Good luck in your decision!

Jennifer

There are quite a bit of us candle companies. The thing is to find out which one is right for you...they are all great. I choose mine because of the soy candles, how strong the scent is and the awesome body products. I'm hooked on them! I also love the ppl I'm working with.

Are there any things in particular you are looking for in a candle and company? Take your time, do your research, and feel free to ask lots of questions.

Take care!
