I just wanted to share my day with you all.

We went to a local Home & Garden show today, we rent an apt but it’s fun for us to dream. Anyway, while we where there I passed out my Mia Bella brochures with scent sample attached to a few of the vendors there.
A very nice lady had a Let’s Do Tea both, oh my gosh they have a pina colada black tea it smelled soooo yummy. Anyway, I ask her where she was and told her that I sold the candles and gave her a brochure. She said she makes gift baskets with tea, a tea pot and a votive. Well I just so happened to have a larger melt sample in CINNAMON TEA!!! Lol. We are going to talk later.
I also stopped at a business woman’s networking groups both and talked to the lovely rep from Wild Tree Herbs and I hope to join their networking group.
To top it off when I got home I had a message on my machine from a gal that had picked up my scent sample at the community center that I told you I was putting samples in. She wants to buy some candles and see if I will donate a candle or a votive basket to a fundraising auction and I would get an add in their newsletter.
My advice to you all is to always have brochures with samples on hand and to not be afraid to talk about our wonderful business!!!

I'm VERY shy, too! That's why I had to choose products that I love so
much I can't help but share them! A lot of people think direct sales
isn't for them, because they're shy. If you find the right product, you
can do anything!

I am quickly seeing how networking can help. Yesterday I was in my first show. An open house at the community center with about 40 companies. Today the lady in charge refered me to a lady that has a designer boutique in a LARGE city who is looking for a brand of soy candles to sell. She wanted to know if I would sell on consignment. Let me think for a minute.....YEAH! (Yes I am going to explain to her to just sign up for COTM and sell for herself.)
I told hubby when he asked how many candles I sold, that the show was more about contacts than anything else. http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley4.gif For once I was right.
