Hi, I am still working away here trying to get all my ducks in a row so I can sell some product this week. I really want to order another case and some of the new catalogs and products!!

I am having a hard time deciding how much to charge for the jars and such. I called the local pharmacy here that sells the Yankee candle and here is what they sell for. 14.5 oz. 18.00. 20 oz. 21.00.

I live in a small town, rural area so I don't think they will sell for the reccommeded retail price. What do you guys sell yours for? Give me some ideas ladies!! You all are great! I really do love this place and my products and I am so excited to be a part of this.

Hi Pam, now our 16 oz jar is only .95 more than the yankee 14.5 ounce jar, which is only 1and a half ounce different! And ours is completely healthy! Surely you could build up .95 worth of quality right?

I offer a discount of 2 for $36, and i stick to the $18.95 per customer.

We also have to wait and see about online ordering. Not sure what the prices will be on there too. Probably the suggested retail (18.95).

Sometimes people need clarification. If you really build up our product and explain the quality and benefits, I bet they wont mind paying the extra dollar!

And remember........With "Y" candles and most other ones, you dont actually burn all 14.5 ounces because half the wax is still left in the jar so they are actually LOSING money!!!

Dont forget to remind them of that!! I think you willmake the deal!! smileys/smiley36.gif

Be confident in our product!! And hey if they still have a problem with it, remind them they can always sign up and get a really BIG discount!! lol smileys/smiley2.gif

Good Luck!!

Great point Jennifer!

I will get the hang of this as time goes by. Maybe some more will come along and tell me what they sell theirs for. Have you ever bought a yankee candle and burned it down to show the difference in theirs and ours?

I agree with Jennifer. At least try selling at the suggested retail.
Once you set your price, you can't go up (at least not w/ existing
customers), but you can always go down! From retailing candles for a
long time, I know our price is very reasonable. I think you can do it!
Good luck!

LOL!! Yes, my sister WAS a die hard yankee fan, and i still have the Pumpkin Spice candle she gave me. I took it to my home parties and showed how all the wax was left on the sides, and how ugly it was! lol smileys/smiley36.gif

I also took one of my Hot Apple Pie Jars that had about 2 inches of wax left and that is the one i burned. People were not only amazed how clean it was and there wasnt a drop of wax, but that it smelled so awesome and filled the whole room!!

Always take a jar to burn that is almost gone. That is the true test of quality!!

I am sure you will get some great advice soon from the ladies here!!

I sell my jars at 1 for $18.95, 2 for $36.00, 3 for $52.50 and 4 for $69.00. Customers have been telling me that this price is very reasonable. The Yankee's sell her for $18.99 for 14.5oz. ALmost everyone has bought two jars. So I guess the dollar off really works. Also, I used to be a Yankee Candle user. I still have a bunch in my house and I do use them to show how much cleaner and better Mia Bella burns. I'm never go back again. Also, it is kind of fun to smell the difference between the Y and the Bella's. I always thought the Yankee's smelled really good but up against the Bella's they cannot hold a candle.smileys/smiley36.gif

I always state how I used to only burn Y until I found these because most candle lovers around here burn yankee's because they are maderight hereMassachusetts. Yankee's are everywhere.

Ditto here, I actually started out at $18.95 and then one month I did a super sale at $16.95 and sold 1. So then I went back up and have sold tons since then. When I hold online parties etc, I do have product on sale.
I say try out the suggested retail price and show them how they burn, they burn longer, cleaner and smell better! If after awhile they don't sell, then maybe consider dropping, but not right off. JMOsmileys/smiley1.gif

Could you please explain what an "online party" is??

Its a bit similar to a home party lol but from the comfort of your own pc. I have a "how to" guide on my site www.wahbizdirectory.com (http://www.wahbizdirectory.com) if you wanna check it out.

I decide a date/time for the party. Invite everyone I have ever contacted about Mia Bella, as I have found the more you invite, just like a home party, the better odds at having more people at your party. Invite 30 expect 10 that kind of thing. Play games if you would like, offer special prices and do a question and answer session.

It's alot of fun!! :)

Hi Scent-Sational WAHMs!smileys/smiley17.gif

A friend of mine in Los Angeles joined me in Mia Bella about 9 months ago. She's a super candle lover and fell in love with Mia Bella candles.

She said she just wanted to get her Candle of the Month Club every month.

The second month, she ran out of her Candle of the Month Candles and burned "another brandsmileys/smiley11.gif."

She called me that afternoon with a high pitch in her voice.

The clean burned Mia Bella jar was sitting next to the "other brandsmileys/smiley11.gif" black burned jar. She emailed a picture of it to me. That's when I got excited about what we distribute! I was looking for a health company when I was fortunately found Mia Bella.

There are distributors on my team all over the USA selling our great candles for $18.95 easily. And their customers keep coming back for more!smileys/smiley32.gif

Have fun!!smileys/smiley36.gif
