Hi, I am starting a website that is going to be mostly informative. Eventually, it would be nice to monetize from it, but I know that is a slow process. I have searched and goggled for a good template to use, but can not find any in the area that I am needing. Plus, they all look very bloggish, and I would like something more website like. Does anyone have any websites that have custom themes for Wordpres or if someone could pm me, I would appreciate it. I really can't afford to pay a lot since I will not be making money from this. Also, I already have a domain name and wordpress set up.

Several of us here can help you with a custom WordPress theme (myself included). Can you give some examples of the style you're looking for? Have you looked at any premium themes like StudioPress ® Premium WordPress Themes (http://www.studiopress.com/) to see if they have something you like? There's also WooThemes|Premium WordPress Themes (http://www.woothemes.com/) and Premium Wordpress Themes | Elegant Themes (http://www.elegantthemes.com/) .

You can turn just about any WordPress theme into a "website" by going to Settings > Reading > and then selecting the page you want to be the "Front Page". This will allow you to use WordPress as a CMS.
