I just started out with BC and my first 2 spas were great. It may be just because they were with friends and family. I did two more spas, one on Friday and one tonight. And I only sold 1 thing. One hand cream for 14. Has this happened to any one? I am feeling a little discouraged. I know I am doing something wrong... I just dont know what. I am not pushy on selling, because I know with myself, I HATE pushy salesmen. So I just wanted to see if this is normal and things will get better. Thanks for reading

YES!! Your doing great!
My very first spa was $500 , no family. (my family spa's actually are worse:)Then I had a string of spa's that were not even $100, and now I'm getting back up there. I tried from the start to get 8 spa's,1-on-1's,or vendor shows on my calendar a month.
You learn as you go what is best to demo, If you say you love it its your 'favorite product' you automatically sell more of it! And if you're using it you'll know the results.
I always ask when writing their reciept ' would you like to add a hand cream to that', or whatever you choose.
And I'm getting much better at hostess coaching now! you have to get over that fear. They don't realize what will help them earn more.
And when you're closing ask ' what was your favorite spa treatment we tried tonight', then just go around the room listing them.(I also list if their fav item is in the Beauticase) because a lot of times they like it , but don't know the name or bottle.
That sounds dumb and so easy, but it works! And while these sound like 'sales' techniques, you can easily slip it in without seeming pushy or overbearing. We're there to pamper them for an hour. And some of my greatest clients have come from AWFUL spa's:)

That sounds smart, not dumb to me! We are being "Upsold" on everything everywhre we go. Look at restaurants, the really good waiters/waitress say "would you like some desert" or "coffee after meal".
Whether something is dumb or not, even if no one has ever told you to do something, but it works, and you get sales and new customers, then maybe that's something you yourself are originating.

You are not doing anything wrong!!! In fact, the opposite is true! Because you feel disappointed that the last two spas weren't "great' means you are passionate about BC - and that is RIGHT!! My sis-in-law is an Executive Director and my recruiter. I have only been to one spa with her and she sold 3 things out of 8 women! It was a total bomb! Ladies were rude and had it been mine, I would have been devestated! This is what she had to say to me -
"I'm so glad you saw that, Natalie. You think that all my spa's are $500 spa's but I have total flops just like you. Here's the difference, tomorrow, I will get up and make some calls and schedule more spas and keep going!"
You can't succeed if you let a few bad spa's hold you back. I have decided to look at every bad spa and every 'No' as one step closer to a $500 spa and to a "yes"!
Don't give up, you can do this. Read everything you can. Practice on your husband or boyfriend and you will get there!!
Blessings,
Natalie Joy

Natalie - I love this message! It is such a great reminder to us all! We all have bad spas, bad days, even bad weeks or months (with BC and otherwise). The key is to get right back up and keep moving! I have realized many times in doing spas that my worst days with BC have been far better than my best days at my former J.O.B. Even on days when I have only sold one or two items, I still have usually made more per hour than at my old job (where I made $14.25/hour). And in my own experience I have learned so much more from my bad spas or from the times I had nothing on my calendar than when I had a full calendar, huge spas, and no worries. :)
Kristi- You are not doing anything wrong! We all have those spas. You can do this, just keep your chin up! And i those first 2 spas were great, it's obviously not you! Sometimes you get women who aren't ready yet to buy, or who just stocked up on whatever they were using prior right before the spa. Sometimes you find women who want to wear makeup but their husbands won't let them. And many times people won't give you the real reason they are telling you no up front.
I had a girl once I met at a local university (I do an event there every year for mid terms) that I tried to get to schedule a spa for a good 4 to 5 months. I would leave messages and send emails with no response, though she was super excited when I met her. I went through all of the "What am I doing wrong?" and thought it was all my fault. Well, back in October, I saw her again at the same event and she scheduled a spa for November. She had a great spa and had so much fun that she scheduled another for December. We talked a lot before, between, and after those spas, and I found out that the reason she never called me back was because she was embarrassed about where she lived and didn't want to invite people to her apartment (in a bad area). It had nothing to do with me, and she has now joined my team and is so excited to work her business.
All of that just to say that you really never know why people are saying no. It probably has nothing at all to do with you. Just keep on moving and you'll do great.
