Hello,

I am deciding if I should join a candle company to get the discounts so I can purchase candles when I want or just buy direct from a rep...

I love the MB candles but did the business and did not have success... I also love YC candles but they are expensive... so what do you have to offer??

Let me tell you about Gold Canyon.

The scents are stronger and better than Yankee Candle. With over 100 scents, there is something for everyone! We also now have a line of aromatherapy soy blend candles.

We also offer green cleaning products and a line of skincare items.

Active demos earn at least 25% commission. After $350 in sales in one month, that month's commission starts to raise. You can earn up to 36% commission just on your sales!

Hey, Tracey, Have you thought about becoming an associate for Mia Bella?--no minimums or quotas just a discount, and you can still sell (you just wouldn't earn on a downline unless you upgraded to the COTM).

If it has been awhile since you were with Mia Bella, I encourage you to take a second look. I love some of the changes--you can now order jars by 2 instead of 6! I was with Mia Bella several years ago but downgraded to the associate status for awhile. Since I upgraded back to COTM several months ago, I have had a blast and experienced success that I didn't the first time around. I would love to "chat" with you because I imagine you and I have shared some of the same past experiences with MB.

Lots of new products as well--new scents, and a new COTM program. Also, we have added new simmer pots, plug-ins, and a new signature candle that is divine. And we are coming out with 10 oz jars in the fall--so lots of great opportunities to build a business.

Like the ladies have mentioned there are many wonderful companies out there, and I'm sure one of us has a match for you.

A few things I did when I was shopping for a company is I requested some samples and a catalog. I really wanted a variety of products to sell, and for me Gold Canyon was the right fit.

I started 9 month ago with no intention of really selling - just to join for my own use, and now it looks like I will become a manager next month. GC is an AWESOME company, you can stay as small or grow as LARGE as you want to within this company.

The products are one of the best on the market too....

Like Melissa, I would suggest you go back to Mia Bella only as an associate. You still get a nice discount and you already know how great the candles are.

I can't believe there hasn't been a post from Scentsy yet! Instead of traditional open flame candles, we offer over 60 ceramic warmers that warm our wax with a 25 watt light bulb. Our wax comes in easy to use Scentsy Bars. Just snap a square off, place it in the warmer and turn it on. The wax gets just a few degrees above body temperature, so there is no risk of burning. No wick, no soot, no lead no flame. All you need is a plug in and a nose!

Are you looking to purchase only at a discount, or are you seeking a business as well?

RE: your non-success with Mia Bella before, there are many ways to overcome selling road blocks. The most common road block is when someone thinks their own product is over priced. One has to fully believe in the product and price in order to be successful with the product sale. I'm wondering if since you feel Yankee are expensive, that this same energy was picked up by your customers as our products are similarly priced.

I actually just recorded a video on this today that I'll be uploading to YouTube in the morning! It talks about how important it is to be 100% confident in your product line :)

If you were considering Mia Bella I would recommend the auto ship option, we now send out our best selling scents so you are always guaranteed a best selling aroma (I have a list of all the upcoming aromas to Feb 2011) As an auto ship member you get 50-60% off the jars where an Associate only gets about 15-20% off.

Plus you also get a website at no additional cost as well, so should you decide to sell, you have a way to earn a commission from sending customers to your website! (or collecting orders as well)

There are many options! I work with my team to guide them and when they get stuck we analyze the road blocks, crush them, and help the member move forward towards success!

I also recommend MB. You know and love the product! There are no minimum sales requirements to meet but have the option of the COTM if you chose to go that route.

If you wanted to do this for more than just a personal discount for yourself I would also recommend Scentsy! The quota is low and their prices are very reasonable!

Since MB has an associate level to get a discount without monthly fees or other hidden costs, it sounds like a good fit for you! I would take your time and really research the company, products, and customer service before starting a different company. I have been very impressed with Scentsy as well. Good luck to you!

I am yet another one who HIGHLY receommends Mia Bella whether as a cotm member or an associate.
The candles are simply superb,the discount you get is great , and as mentioned by others, we do have fabulous training and support resources and if you utilize all we offer, I'm sure you could be more successful this time!
