Hi all,
I am strongly considering celebration this year. I think this is a good thing for my business and need to be there. However, I need to have a budget talk with my hubby before telling him I want to go.
I am wondering, aside from the registration fee, what other costs are involved with celebration. Specifically how much will hotel run me, should I drive or fly, are there any other costs that a first timer like me may not know about.
Any info is helpful, and if you are not comfortable with discussing cost on here, feel free to PM or email me.
thanks in advance,
Tara

Hey Tara, I am hoping to go to Celebration also. Here is how I am breaking down my costs for a budget.
Registration (By March 31st) $200
Transportation by car(I will be traveling the 6 hour drive by myself at this time) $150
Hotel (I will be meeting up with my unit and sharing with 3 others) 3 nights for $125
Food (There are a few meals provided but it is also so busy sometimes you won't have time for a sit down meal, just a grab & go. My roommates also bring snacks like fruit and granola bars, diet pop etc and we usually have a late night pizza delivered) $100 cash
Misc (You never know what you will want to buy, or costs your unit may have up front for matching t shirts, sunglasses etc.) $75
That makes the grand total $600. (this is my highest cost budget, so if/when it's less my hubby is pleased)
To get the hotel for cheap you have to share the room costs and you'll have to evaluate for yourself whether it's cheaper to fly or drive. There is a shuttle that will get you from the airport to the Gaylord for about $20 and sometimes you can get a coupon that makes it free.
Hope this helps you plan. It is so worth going to!!

My director made me go last year, I'd only been in about a month! And wow, I've been to several other conventions w/ family, but this was awesome!

I'd say also save up for the new Product package! I think last year it was about 100-200, you could deferr,it was great. Also , there is a pre-order opportunity, too. You didn't have to pay till Oct.
And bring some extra cash for Who raffle, if you like.
Also, computer hook up in the room costs, I just stood in line for the computers they had there:)
Lots of Tax deductions!
And you can take the per-deum for your meals every day, which last year was $57,I think.
you get Free new products, and just all kinds of info! And they have these booths where you can try all of the products and spa treatments.

We drove, but really it was about as much as flying, and I think I'll fly this year, just see which is better.

Thanks! I talked to my Director last night too. I am about 97% sure of going and I have until 3/31 to make my decision for the best price. This info was very helpful.

Are the vendors or BC logo items for sale at Celebration? My team mates (up and down) will be attending for the first time and will be saving for the things you all have already listed. However, will there be "other" vender items to buy?

Thanks ladies,

Dawn in Maryland

Hi Dawn~ Great to see you connecting on this board too!

Yes, there are other vendors at Celebration, but we really never know which ones until we arrive. Some of my favourites inthe past have been Merrill, shich brings many BC printed selections and the company that now supplies BC logo clothing. They usually bring limited quanities, so if you want to take home some of these, it is best to go the first day or so.

My other favourite Celebration Shopping outing is to go to Sam Moon. To do this, you would usually rent a car or share a cab. They have sparkly BC pins like " I Heart spa" " VIP" , "SPA", and " I DO SPA" . They also have tons of beautiful bags, purses and jewelry at wholesale prices.

I usually stock up on some team incentives when I go, but of course this is purely optional shopping. YOu can go to Celebration and have a great time on a much more conservative budget too.
