I've been reading some about Barefoot Books and I'm interested in knowing more. How do you get schools or libraries to do fundraisers? Do daycares do fundraisers? I don't have the money right now to buy a starter kit so would it be hard to do this without one? Any info is appreciated!!!

:) Hi! SouthernBelle, I'm Chef Edmund Gelfman with barefootbooksnewyork.com. I hope this reply reaches you doing well.
The answers to your questions are:
(1) Yes, daycares do fundraisers. Any exceptions would be those that choose not to do so, therefore, contacting the daycare and finding out would be best.
(1a) There are different ways you can go about getting schools to do fundraisers. Barefoot Books have materials which is offered to ambassadors through the online training resources and forums for connecting with schools for such reasons, and additionally you can gather input from other ambassadors who share what works for them, and dont forget creating your own ideas too is super.
(2) We sell to libraries. You asked 'how do we get libraries to do fundraisers' is this pertaining to both school and public libraries, or which one?
I have not heard of doing fundraisers with the public library. Certainly, if a library other than school library wants to do a fundraiser, you can go for it!!! :)
(3) And you spoke of not having the money right now to buy a starter kit, it's ok.
To sign up and become a Barefoot Books Ambassador, it is free. There are no obligations and quotas as you may know.
Upon signing up you will receive a free Barefoot Books Marketplace, which means; you get your own website. This can help tremendously with getting the word out about your business and what you offer, even if you don't have any barefoot books products of your own as yet.
The starter kit has several of the best selling selections and things such as, catalogs, receipt book... so forth. It gives you something to work with as far as getting familiar with the products, if you are not, and as well as for showing others too.
Despite that, choosing to go ahead and start (in the meantime) without a product kit is doable. That's an option! only you can choose is it for you to do.
(3a) There is a yes/no aspect to whether it's hard to try and sell without having the kit,...When I began this business a few years ago prior to getting the starter kit, I had two-three barefoot books products in my home.
Some individuals are able to do it with the website (until) they can buy several products to begin creating their own display, be it small, modest or big. And there are others who would rather not start unless they have a kit or to say the least, just a few of barefoot products to once again have something on hand to show and display. There are those who must see the actual product to believe its worth. :)
Consider your choices. What you can work with, which is right for your situation then make the decisions that are best for you.
