Hey Ladies,
I would really appreciate any advice you all can give me. I am a new consultant and am starting up my new business. I don't currently know any other BC ladies, my director is across the country, and I've never been to a spa but I'm determined to make this work, with God's help! I am having a little trouble getting bookings and having them hold, I have done some school spas for the bookings I have coming up. I am looking into Mom's groups around my city and would like any advice you can give me on how to approach them about spaing them and presenting the opportunity. I am not currently a mother so I wouldn't be presenting this as a current member of their group. I need help on how to present my spaing them in a way that would be lovely and rewarding time for their members (ie. an offer they can't refuse) and how to make those contacts with the group leaders. If any of you have experience getting into Mom and Women groups to spa them your tips would be appreciated. Thanks so much!

I was a newbie in June of last year, and never thought I'd Spa, I just wanted my skincare and SYS at a discount. I held 2 Spa's that were awesome, and my Director MADE me come to Celebration!WOW! I really felt the Lord just tugging on my heart, butI still was reluctant to go full time, but by Sept I quit my part time job,and have LOVED this ever since!
I'd say first off, get to Spa-ing,cause it all comes back to that. Even have one a month in your home, I still do that.
Find a group you can go to their unit meetings, because having some buddies, or someone close to work with will help you not get discouraged!
And even if you do ONE thing new a month, you're growing, becasue we want to keep moving up!

Thanks for the encouragement. I held a spa in my home last Saturday and I have four booked for this month. There are no real units in my state, believe it or not. In order to get more spas I need some advice about approaching Mom groups. I think there is big potential there.

What an incentive to get your own going!
I know at Celebration last year, Barbara Ward said there wasn't any in her area in TX when she started, and now there was 20:D
Also, at a Summit we just had they said that for the size of our country's population, we could have a DIRECTOR, not consultant, for every branch bank in US!
Can I ask which state you're from?

I could totally see that, I was talking to someone yesterday who had never heard of BC. I am like WOW how many more are out there that don't know BC...I need to get out and talk to more people!
As for the question at hand. I would check out any local shopper papers, chamber of commerce, or the internet for the different mom groups in your area. Once you have contact info for the group I would just approach them like everyone else with the idea of relaxation and pampering...what mom doesn't need that! May be ask if you can come in during one of their meeting to pamer their members. And just explain what types of treatment you will be providing. Make it about them and having fun.
Hope that helps a little.

Hey there & Welcome!
You have a great opportunity by being the ONLY consultant in your area!! I know it seems very daunting right now, but think long-range at where you could take this business!! Just like prior post said.. Barbara Ward!!
OK...aside from that, see if you can find any free networking or business to business meeting groups that you could join. Market yourself as a business and not a consultant (because that is what you want from it!).. "Hi, my name is... I run a mobile spa business and I offer the day-spa experience in the comfort of your own home or office". Leave it at that and let them ask you questions... Take the 'direct sales' aspect out of it in your 'commercial' because some people have a stigma associated w/direct sales and will tune you out.
BC skincare is a great thing (I'm sure you know that!)...and once you can get people hooked, you will have customers for life.
Good luck!!
