Does anyone else wish more WAHM'ers put at least the state they live in as a location instead of just the "United States?"

I'm trying to pair up a few of my out of state pals with reps from different companies to become clients and it's really hard when most WAHM'ers don't have even a state listed.

Just wanted to see if anyone else found that a more specific location might be helpful???

I think a state is helpful...I had at first put US only, but I changed it to my state because I wanted to make connections with others around here and figured if I was interested in knowing that then someone else would be, too.

So, yeah, I like seeing the state listed as opposed to just US.

I agree, I like to see states, as well.

Jennifer, did you know that your location says "United States?"

Are you serious? I put SE Michigan. That's odd. Thanks for letting me know, Peggy! ha ha

Do I look goofy or what? I swear I've seen the SE Michigan but hey, I'll check it out.

Thanks again!!

It is nice to meet others from your area. I wish there were more from my neck of the woods.

Hi Jennifer- I am also from Michigan. I am (very) new to this site. I am also looking to network with other Party Plan business owners (I do Passion Parties) for advice.

Yes. It's interesting even to me, many thousands of miles away, and I've never even been to the US.

Certainly it might be.

What "gets" me, in a forum with nearly 100,000 members from 85 different countries, is when people don't even give their country and then ask a question about tax law, business incorporation, or some other issue to which the answer's clearly entirely dependent on where they live. :)

I'm with Yulia. A country should be required, a State is better though. :)

I totally agree with that statement. Makes it tough to help others.

Testing! Isn't the US a default thing? Or whatever county the member is from?

To be honest, I never noticed...but I do think it will be more helpful to include a more specific state/country/region - I just changed mine! :)

I never noticed either until now...guess I need to be more observant.

Thanks to all of you who got a little more "specific" about your location. It really does help when I try to put a friend who lives in another state together with a rep. Just recently put two gals together because my friend wanted to host a party.
