Are there any candle companies out there that the business can be done almost all online? I wouldn't mind handing out samples with business card for ordering but do not want to do home parties, collect money etc.

Hi there, I think most of the companies that provide consultants with websites that have shopping carts could be mostly online. With SoyLicious.com, you are able to retail on your own website and you also get a free website with a candleshop, etc..Which, by the way, new websites and shopping carts will be released soon...
We receive 40% commission on all sales and there are no monthly quotas or minimums to reach. For 29.95 a month, you receive $45.00 in products and website, etc. There are no other startup costs or anything.
We also have a great fundraising program which is a great way to drum up some residual online business.
Send me a private message with your address and I will mail you samples and an information packet with brochures, etc.

Hello!! I am an independent demonstrator for Gold Canyon Candles and have built a large portion of my business online!!
Gold Canyon is a 13 year old company which is widely recognized throughout North America. Once you have three sponsored demonstrators you start receiving referrals directly from the company when someone goes to Goldcanyon.com. I get at least $100 in orders this way each month, from people who I do not know who become my new customers, as well as orders and reorders from anyone i have entered in my customer database, who also gets my monthly e-newsletter.
Another thing Gold Canyon has to offer is that they offer frequent sales for web customers. These can be seen on the websites...at the moment we have the "Strike it Rich" promotion, as well as a huge fundraiser benefiting restoration in Haiti going on right now.
My website is in my link so you can see an example of what Gold Canyon's websites look like. Feel free to contact me if you have any further questions about Gold Canyon!! Right now sign up is only $20 and im covering that through the end of this month for my new team members.

Hey, Sweet Jennie,
You have given such great advice and help before, and I started to just email you...then I thought I can't be the only one with this question:
Would you mind sharing how you do online parties? That has been somewhat of a mystery to me, and I would love to know more about that aspect of online retailing.
Melissa

Greetings,
Most candle companies can be run via the internet, as a team builder and coach I run most of my business over the internet. I do want to share that a candle business online will take longer to build and it takes time, dedication, devotion, passion, patience and TIME! (did I mention time?) {grin}
I've been a web marketer for over a decade specializing in building websites, search engine optimization and harnassing the power of web marketing without spending a penny on advertising. It's my passion, and I love it!
But when it comes to cash in hand, the fastest way to generate the green is person to person sales. Totally not required, but one can easily make over $500 per month or more getting out and about where $500 via the web will take significantly more time (it CAN be done if you have time and patience!)
As a web marketer you'll want a personal website, you'll need to learn to brand YOU across the web, and your focus will be to promote the opportuntity so you can start building a downline residual income as well as promoting your web store in order to gain a customer following for web purchase commissions.
Should you decide to go the web route, be sure to analyze the compensation plans as the monthly requirements vary from about $29 per month to about $450 per month once you have a team. The company I am with is the lower end of the spectrum at $39 a month, this does *not* increase when you hae a team and yields a generous 50-60% off all the candles for quite a sizeable income upon sale.
You've come to the right place, please ask any and all questions! You have many great companies to choose from as well as many helpful leaders to guide you as well.
Light up your life with a candle business! :)
I've been a student of online marketing for many years. The first step is to have a secure web storefront like the one we have with MiaBella.
Blog's are a important part of marketing online.
Social networking is the next step.
And granted nothing sells better than home parties, as well as expo's, Especially if it's a smell and sell product like soap and candles.
The training site we have that explains the how to have an amazing home party is fantastic but we also need online amazing party training,
Recently, I learned a fantastic tip on getting more traffic to a blog and website, it's working extremely well.
Terri

I agree you have to look closely at all aspects to find the fit that suits you. For me, I did not spend years or know anything about building websites, search engine optimization or web marketing. Maybe one day I will go down that path but for now my passion is pretty focused on candles and people.
I just made friends online while pursuing my other interests (ie social networking to meet and reconnect with friends old and new), chose a brand with a great product and name recognition, and a company with an innovative and flexible marketing strategy to poise us in the everchanging market of today.
I did not find that it took me longer to build an online business, in fact it was one of the staples I did have in the earliest days of beginning my business. What the company provides and how their system works has a lot to do with this. But overall at this point I'm getting orders from brand new customers who have located me through the company website, each and every month steadily!!
The way I interpret a company with a small monthly fee versus a sales quota is that in those with a small monthly fee, that means my upline can still benefit from my hard work even if they are doing the bare minimum. I personally prefer a structure where those who are working are rewarded and can be encouraged to collaborate with others who are also working.
Just more than one way to look at different aspects of different businesses. Also, of course, what you are looking for. There is a good fit for everyone out there!!!

As one with health challenge I totally agree with Alethea's post. If I had a high quota to meet the stress of that PLUS the stress of an operation would probably force me to quit, BUT I am fortunate that I can challenge myself as to what I want my income to be, and can take a month off or more to be able to recoup.
In addition being able to bequeth a business is a very important benefit!

We are definitely straying from the original poster's question...I apologize for that!
This feature is not one that my company has. Thinking it through myself I wanted to share these thoughts.
Rather than likening the bequeathability of your home based business to "life insurance," I actually see it more like "Extended Warranty Insurance," which every car dealership and electronics store tries to sell you, and which I never buy.
Would you choose a pots and pans set you didnt like as much but had an extended warranty, or one you loved and were passionate about that would make you want to cook a wonderful meal?
I would never rely on a direct sales company or any other employer to take care of my family after I die. That is the purpose of life insurance, not a home based business.
Direct Sales businesses are not like a bottle where everything you put in there stays inside protected, they are like a sifter where you have to continue to put new people, ideas, product innovation, training, incentives, etc etc into the top in order to still have anything in there...because people are constantly sifting out.
When the "put in" stops, everything sifts out pretty darn quick. If I end up making an amount of money that is will continue to supplement my family's income for a long time to come after my death, I would buy good life insurance with my money.
Not that it is not a valuable feature, but its just not one I would put above other features.
Just my two cents thank you for indulging my digression from the original topic!!!

and, yes one of the reasons I did pick this company was that I can leave it to a family member....if you think of it....if you worked in corporate America most likely you would be building retirement or something equal....we are builing our "retirement plan"....for lack of better words and something to leave our families.
