It says I only have 5 posts. I know have done a lot more than that. Does it reset my number of posts if I change my password?

My guess is that many of your posts have been deleted. I think the one above will be deleted, too - because you have a self-serving link in the text of your post. That's allowed only as a signature-file, and those are allowed only after you have 30 posts on the board. This is my guess anyway - and just trying to be helpful, not to complain! ;)
