Hi Everyone,
I am researching candles once again. A Few years ago, I tried being a rep with a few different candle companies. So I am not really looking for a business opportunity. However, because of my past experience, I know what I am looking for in a candle. My friends are always asking me to make recommendations. I live in the city, so candles are widely available.

So here my quest... I am looking for mainly soy candles. Clean burning and scented throughout. Seriously, I know some candles have a different scent throw, but I have spent more money than I care to admit on candles that make that same claim and don't. I don't want to have to dig out the wax and use my tart burner. I don't want to have to hope the wick lasts as long as the wax itself. I am also looking for a candle that is reasonably priced. If I can buy a similar candle at a store down the road, I want the candle I buy to be worth the shipping if that makes sense.

I would love to hear about your candles and include how I can get some samples. I have a few friends that I would love to get some mother's day gifts for so I am doing my research now.

Thank you in advance!

Hi Linda!

I can relate to being let down after spending money on a candle! It's a little sickening to me personally how many times I have been "burned". I don't know if you are interested in going wickless, but it would eliminate the wick worries (the wick lasting as long as the wax).

Also, going wickless also means flameless... added safety benefit if you or your friends have children or pets!

Cost wise... our products are quite affordable. A one time purchase of a warmer, scented wax and you are on your way to a wonderfully scented home!

I am speaking about Scentsy Wickless Candles! We have over 50 different warmer styles to choose from and our wax comes in "Scentsy Bars" in over 80 different scents. Our warmers run from $25-$35 and the Scentsy Bars are only $5! The wax is warmed with a light bulb and gets just a few degrees above body temp. (this is when I would dip my fingers in the wax to show you how safe it is). When the wax fragrance dissipates or you get tired of a scent, simply switch it out. (You can keep the wax if the scent isn't gone and reuse it= added value). Unlike a traditional candle, you aren't "stuck" with a scent until the candle is gone.

I addition to our warmers and wax, we carry room sprays, hanging fresheners and travel tins. So our complete product line ranges from $3 to $35.

Our warmers carry a lifetime gurantee.

Our shipping rates are very competitive. On regular retail orders shipping is only 10% of the retail sale. Orders of $150+ get free shipping as long as the order is entered as a party. It is VERY rare that I charge shipping (usually only when I get random online orders.)

Scentsy makes a WONDERFUL gift! Very easy to give, and a warmer/scent combination for everyone!

I am going to pm you too... I would love to answer any questions you may have!

Hi Linda,

Since you were last researching a new company has come out, For Every Home. Our products are soy based candles, cubes, wickless (water based candles), odor gel and room sprays. Basically we have something for every customer. Our prices start at $4.50 for our smallest candles and our cubes and they do not go over $14 for our largest candle.

Our wicks are cotton and our candles burn evenly. We have a 100% guarantee on our products so if they do not, our company will replace them and fix the problem.

Our company is very eco-friendly in nature. We just won a national award on our innovation and recycling.

We are a party plan company but we are very excited to offer various ways to sell our products. We have websites that are provided by our company. We can also sell via parties (in-person, catalog, basket and e-parties), fundraisers, craft shows and web based.

Our shipping is only $5 and is free if the order is done with a party. We have just over 1,000 consultants in the United States and about 800 in Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.

If you would like to give our products a try I would be very happy to speak with you and send you a sample.

Good Luck in your search!

Hello
Mia Bella Scent Sations makes a fabulous natural palm wax candle. Our master candle maker found the scent to hold better in this natural wax blend than the prior soy blend he had used. They burn beautiful and CLEAN and are very strongly scented.

I believe there is no store candle that can compare.

Hi Linda
Now we can order in quantity's of 2!
The info below is from the FAQ's section on our company sites-(you can read more on my company site - see "Shop" link on Miabellanaturals)

Is Mia Bella a 100% soy candle?

"Our original formula was 100% soy but we found that soy was NOT the best ingredient to develop an alternative candle from. The reason is that 100% soy does NOT hold enough scent to create a strong scented candle. When we designed a strongly scented soy candle we found that scent actually rose to the top of the candle forming a puddle at the top. The proprietary formula we currently use is a formula specifically designed for our candle's needs (clean burning and also strongly scented) and is comprised of renewable palm waxes. In our opinion, although soy has the benefits of clean burning and warm water clean up, our blend has those benefits PLUS allows us to make the candle one of the strongest scented candles in the market! "

Hope that helps :-)
Feel free to pm me if you have any other questions

Greetings Linda,

I am pleased you are doing research, you came to the right place! There are many amazing candle companies out there, we each offer a quality product, which makes the decision even more difficult :)

As a self-proclaimed candle FREAK I'm really picky about candles and I really fell in love with Mia Bella as a go-gree-gal. As a former distributor yourself, you already experienced the clean, glass to glass burn and powerful scent throw.

As Debra noted, we can purchase jars in 2s now, the company has been growing and glowing like crazy... I too, joined back when we had to order 12 at a time, then it was 6 and now 2, how fantastical!

You may remember you get 50-60% off the candles as a distributor, I know you are not looking for an opportunity as you are rocking the Avon, but we do have a 2 jar option now on the auto ship in case you are considering the BIG discounts again. And what is great is now our auto ship features our best selling scents and are pre-determined for a year in advance (I know what will be coming each mo until Feb 2011)

We also have our Associate option (no auto ship) where you get about 25% off candles, so if you do decide to do some shopping, it would benefit you to become an Associate to save a little cash {wink}

Best wishes on your hunt for candles, we are all pleased to answer your questions!

I never really got a chance to try the candles yet. I did however try the firestarters. Are they along the same lines or...?

Thanks for the info. I have been receiving a bunch of great info. Just reading through everything can take some time. I wish I had the time and the money to buy from everyone. It's a good thing that there are so many different candle companies. Everyone has a preference as to what they like or prefer.
I thought about trying the "melts" I think there called. I gotta do some research on those.
Thanks a bunch!
