Hello Everyone!

I am interested in becoming an independent sales rep with a candle company. I have been searching endlessly. It seems that most of the companies I have looked in to have high start up costs, which would be fine if I can get my husband to approve, lol smileys/smiley17.gif. Basically, I really would like to find a company that has great affordable products with an affordable start up. Also, I would prefer a company that handles all the tax issues (some of the ones I have come accross, I would have to get a vedor's license and do the taxes myself). I would greatly appreciate any information on getting started with the right company. Please email me at JDCsMommy@aol.com

Thanks,

Tiffani

Bittersweet Candle Company is only $29.95 to join and you'll get a coupon for $20 off your first order (placed within your first 30 days).

We have no minimums which means no carrying inventory and investing money into stock that may or may not move. There are no quotas - no monthly purchase you need to make.

We'll provide you with a free website and email address. No monthly expenses for your website. Set up is part of your $29.95 kit price.

With your kit you'll receive a set of our flyers, order forms, other business paperwork and your website. We just released our new 36 page catalog. I'm not sure if they are including them in the kits yet or ifthat'll start on April 1st when the catalog goes live.

Plus - the Number 1 reason for joining Bittersweet - our Awesome Candles. They smell great, have a long lasting burn, burn very clean (no black soot) and you'll be able to purchase them with a 40% commission rate!!!

Oh, we also collect the sales tax for you and submit it directly to your state tax department. smileys/smiley1.gif

I am from CT! Why do you ask?

I am currently in the process of setting up my little candle business to have direct sales consultants because it seems that this is a really popular way to earn income right now. I have been making candles fora few years now, and I am really, really ready to quit my job and do the candle biz full time. I am going to be setting up a brand new web page which will allow wholesalers and candle consultants to log in and see their set prices. My candle consultant program is going to be: 25% commission on sales up to $1,000 a month, over that, it will be 30% commision. 5 % for downline. I am going to set up Starter Kits for $20, $40, and $100 - depending on how much product people want to start with to show at parties and such. Consultants will be responsible for sales tax, except in CT where I am registered- I do not mind submitting tax for CT sales. And in the next few months I plan to register as an LLC. I am going to do a formal write up of all my plans, policies, procedures, terms, conditions, etc. I am not going to require any monthly minimum sales, or anything like that.

What's so special about my products? Well, they are all handmade to order and completely customizable - any jar with any color, fragrance, etc. I am also going to set up my bath products to have customizable labels. (ex. fora friend, I did a bath & body label that said "Jen's Refreshing Raspberry Retreat" for shower gel and bubble bath!)

Also, my Compli-Scents candle line is an original line of candles!

Wow!! That sounds absolutely HEAVENLY!! And to think-you're from Connecticut! Woo-hoo! smileys/smiley32.gifWay to go, gurl!!! Okay, so getting back to why I asked if anyone was from CT was because I am putting together a website dedicated toFull time, Connecticutmarketers so that people who are looking to join a business can do so with complete confidence by being able to see who you are, see what you sell, up close and personal and ask allthe right questions they feel they need, to make a better and more informed decision! In the end, it works out for both you and them because you've both realized you've made the right decision to do/go into business together! I am planning on presenting a Work At Home Day format tothe city goverment in Hartford and have them cover the costs of advertisementsand such, so this way, people get the rare and valuable opportunity to meet and greet marketers and marketers get prospects in front of their business opportunity! It's a win-win situation for everybody involved! smileys/smiley1.gif
