I don't know how I found out about the Butler Hill Group, what they do, or if they are legit, but I just got an email from them inviting me to test for a Search Engine Evaluator position. Anyone know anything about them?

I just did a quick Google search for them and came up with this:

You can select Data Annotation in the first box and English for the 2nd box and the job description is then displayed.

I am a former WFL rater (1 year) and recently applied with the Butler Group. Leighangela - do you mind telling us how long it took for you to receive the invite? I've also applied for the Ads Rater position with WFL, and with Leapforce. Nothing yet! :(

I don't know how true this is, but I remember reading a thread on here a while back that said that Butler only hires people with Master's degrees or a degree in library sciences or something similar.

I've worked for BHG for several months. They don't hire many people; IIRC, they said during training that they only have about 150+/- US evaluators. I don't have an MA but many of the people in my training class did; I think we all had at least a BA.
The work is structured somewhat differently than LF and WFL; you're required to commit to 20 hours a week and it's broken up into 4 hours per day, M-F. Absolutely no weekend work. The company is fantastic; tons of personal communication with your team leader & manager, great feedback, monthly meetings via conference call, etc.

Just curious re: the 20hrs/wk -- do your daily 4 hours have to be at any set time? and do you have to play a lot of tennis?

You can work any 4 hours within the day. Also there is no tennis there :D
