How long does the employment process take? I applied about a week ago and I'm hoping to get something! I also applied at LiveOps and haven't heard back from them, but at least had a confirmation email from West.

How long did it take before any of you heard anything?

Hey "mrs fizz" It took 8 months for West to hire me. But, it does depend on the state you're in and the open positions they have available in your state. It could be much sooner it could be much longer. I'm in Houston, Tx. I noticed you are in Austin so good luck. I was just hired with West around mid December 09. I like working for West. But, that too will differ from person to person....lol :p

It really does depend I know they did a mass hiring in December because they was expecting high call volume but since the holidays are over a lot of the lines have got slow

I really think that it could take a month are more to hear something if I was you I would apply for other jobs while you waiting for west there are tons of other things you can do

I know they have a lot of current workers that dont have a line

I applied in December and never heard anything. I sent an email and left a message and never got a response. Earlier this week when I called I finally got someone. She told me the application process changed in January and that I was on wait status and had to reapply, so I did 2 days ago. Good luck I hope you hear something soon. :)

Well I never heard anything from them, but I did hear from LiveOps and I am not in training!! Hopefully I can get my phone line mess cleared up and start taking calls here within the next few days.

I really wanted to work for LO but my credit is very bad and I have lots of bill past due. The FAQ I read pretty much said don't bother applying if your bills are 3 or more months past due and since I lost my house because I couldn't pay the mortgage I'm sure that qualifies as more than 3 months past due. :(

I think it is absolutely ridiculous that more and more employers are checking your credit reports. Not every person with bad credit is irresponsible!! There are SO many people out there in your same situation and it's NOT THEIR FAULT. Reading about credit reports being required for employment really ticks me off.

I'm with you on this one rainbowbrite98. It ticks me off too. If nobody hires you, then none of the bills get paid. So; therefore the credit report gets worse. It's not fair. Like you said every person with bad credit is not irresponsible. People do run into bad times, especially with the economy crunch we're in. Just because your credit is not perfect doesn't mean that your work is not acceptable.
