There are so many methods that work! If you want to build your list with low cost,
make a good lead capture page and promote it on trafficexchanges!
This methode is timeconsuming but if you start with low budget its a good way to get 5 to 30 new subcribers per day!

Just talking to people I care about and also through FaceBook. I just got my chiropractor on board as well. That took a lot of nerve talking to her but she loved the program!

Hi, I new here to the WAHM.com site. I will say that I have more time to work online these days. Learning is one way to do and get more. I have been taking some online SEO classes and one way to get some traffic is posting your articles with your website links attached. Social media is a great way to get noticed as well...
This brings people to you, but you must enjoy writing content...

There are a bunch of options you have:
1)Article writing
2)Web 2.0
3)Forums-Links in your signature
4)Blog comments
5)Video marketing
6)Craigslist or other classified ads website
I think i've covered the main sources of traffic, just correct me if I've missed out on anything. Hope that helps.

Low-cost, lineage-only, print media advertising, and drop cards have worked brilliantly for our company since the company started about 16 years ago.
And if fact, these days, they're working better than ever and with less competition than ever, because the internet is distracting so many of our competitors into the "virtual world" leaving us even more of a free run in the "real world". ;)

None have worked for me so far. I'm an abysmally bad marketer, so I'll focus on what hasn't worked.
I am currently doing Disciple's Cross and I had spare wires left over from my test unit, so I assembled a test Ebay unit made out of two colors of wire. The ad got maybe 10 views and one watching, with no sale.
I approached the manager of a local, very large bookstore that has a gifts and crafts section. She was the most surly, ill-mannered person I have come across in years. She showed only a passing interest in my samples, gave me some platitude about sending her my web page, then dismissed me and walked away.
Granted, I haven't been trying very long, but so far I HATE SELLING!!!!

I thought you didn't have to sell with the Disciple's Cross?...

I thought you didn't have to sell with the Disciple's Cross?...You don't have to, according to them. I'm still so new at DC I'm still waiting for my test unit to be evaluated. I had some spare wire and put together this Ebay test cross just to see if it would sell. It's two-color and I made it from two sets of ire I had ruined by scratching it while doing my test pieces. The wire comes in sets of three different lengths of each color and if you ruin one piece, the other two are useless for the buy-back because they only accept single-color crosses.
Many people who join Disciple's Cross also do some side marketing/selling. Many producers sell the buy-back rejects on Ebay.

Internet marketing is one way but just getting out talking to people works better for some businesses. Free or low-cost networking groups can be useful. Business cards have been effective. I would try direct mailing but don't know where to get leads. Twitter is good if you have a real following and not just folks wanting to be followed. I think Facebook is great. Craiglist is good too. Cold calling didn't work for me. Learning more about internet marketing and finding what works seems to be the way to go along with the old ways. I'm intrigued by the drop card method. I need to read Yuliya's blog again. :)

I do a lot of article marketing. Whenever one of my articles goes live, I see a lot of traffic coming to my websites.
When I was a Virtual Assistant, before I switched to internet marketing, I did press releases and also had my business listed with my local chamber of commerce. The chamber hosts a lot of meet & greets so it's a good way to expose your business.

The best marketing method I use that is very low cost, but yields high returns is text message campaigns. I use a company that does all the work for me! At each show, I instruct the folks there to Text Just4me to a special number like 12345 (the company issues your own code) for a free gift. Everybody there has a cell phone, so they do it. Nobody wants to be left out. Then at the end of the night i have just added to my valuable database of potential New Hostesses and repeat buyers of our products. Usually every friday i sent a broadcast to all my subscribers including past hostessess to either book a show now or introduce a new item etc. and my phone starts ringing almost immediately after the broadcast is texted.
I am pretty much booked 2 months in advance, and now can hand shows to my downline. Its a great feeling when you know return on investment is so high when i am literally paying pennies for the service!
I can get you the info on the company i use just pm or email me.

One of the best methods in the real world is to activate existing customers or clients to talk about you or give you referrals.
Potential new business which comes by way of an existing happy client is far more likely to convert into a paying customer since they've already heard how great you are from someone they trust.
A simple way to get your clients talking about you is to send over a small gift to say thank you for being a great person to work with. Somethng like a dozen bagels or a pan of brownies should do it. Whatever it is, make it something that is a) edible and b) far too much for one person to finish.
Done right, your customer will be pleased to be thanked, and will naturally offer round the goodies while at the same time explaining how she comes to have sooo many yummy bagels or whatever.
You can work on whatever details fit your situation. Just make sure your offering is going to get you talked about.

My only business is owning a set of web site on various topics. Most of their traffic just comes from the search engines. When my sites were new I would promote them using mainly directories and link exchanges. These days most of the established sites get enough back links on their own to keep their rankings without a lot of extra work on my part.
Lately the only things I have been doing to promote one of the newer sites is article writing and blog carnivals. Both of those methods have worked out pretty well so far.

There are other places to do a PPC campaign beside Google and some let you start for as little as $20 dollars, and .03 cents a click, very affordable.

The company all you have to do is get 2 people to join your group and we will give you 4 for free one if not more of which is all ready buying product, so you are already making money
Our marketing method is really different because you really don't have to spend money to get leads, although you can if you wish you can find out more in my profile or send me an email. I would have my link in here, but I don't have thirty post yet. If you contact me I will give you a number to our weekly conference call for tomorrow and you can hear for yourself.;)

I have great success with article marketing, but I don't just write the articles and submit them. Once they're published, I bookmark them, ping the article URL, and submit RSS feeds for them. Basically I do article marketing to promote my websites and then I promote my articles a bit to get them to rank higher in Google. It all ends up leading back to my main websites.

Getting your articles to rank high is usually easier than getting your website to rank. If you submit articles to a high PR site, such as Ezinearticles, and promote them you can get them on the first page of Google. So the articles provide backlinks, but being on the first page of Google also means more traffic to your main site.

Face to face prospecting, working through referrals and the STEAM method is a favorite. It stands for asking the following questions which a 3rd party approach to finding contacts:
1. Who is the best salesperson you know?
2. Who is the best teacher you know?
3. Who is the most enthusiastic or entrepreneurialistic person you know?
4. Who is the most ambitious person you know?
5.. Who is the most motivated or money motivated person you know?
5 new prospects you didn't have 5 minutes before! Even if the person you are talking to isn't interested personally in your opportunity!

Tweeting actually gave me my first sale on Diet-Delivered.com..
For other site I use Craigs List which is one big pain in the butt, BUT it works.. I've tried CL for Diet site without as much luck..
All the while, I'm working behind the scenes to build up SEO traffic so one day, I can semi-retire! :)

To tell you the truth, we're not quite sure what is working for us yet, or to what extent. Our online store is so new. We have a twitter and facebook account but they're very young and we're really just getting started. We've just started a google ad campaign for a limited time so we'll see what kind of an impact that has. We're planning some kind of a mail campaign later in the year and we may try facebook ads as well. Right now, we're just trying a little bit of everything.

I tried to post on Facebook but others find it annoying and a way of spamming their page so I'd better stick with forum posting, blog commenting and article marketing.
