My daughter has an interview with Family Heritage in a few days. Anyone ever hear of them? She said its free training and all. Is it a good company to work with?

I googled them and of course found a thread on scam.com that's pretty negative but even good companies seem to get on that site. On Jobvent.com the people that actually work for the company seemed to have good things to say. I imagine if it's a busienss she could run it the way she wants to. Like Cornelius said, she'll need to make her own decision. Take everything researched on the internet with a grain of salt and let her know to go with her gut. If something seems fishy then of course don't do it...but if it all checks out and she loves the insurance industry and helping others then maybe it's the right option for her :).

If the training is free, it doesn't hurt to try it out and see if she likes it. I would also suggest that she Google them and see what others have to say about them and also check out their web site to get a sense of what type of company they are. She could also check with the Better Business Bureau to see if there are any complaints. Most insurance companies are legit but some better train and help their sales people out where some just kind of throw them out there and see what they can do. If it's a commission-only position, then there's no risk to the company to hire as many people as possible and let the successful sales people succeed and make them profits and let the unsuccessful quit without any risk to their bottom line.
