Hi everyone!
I have recently done a few vendor booths with my upline and we were discussing how we could better communicate our full product line through our booth set up. I'm with Simply Fun and we carry games, puzzles and activites for those from infant through adulthood. We help people of all ages find ways to learn, connet with those they care about and create lasting memories through play. However currently, I am concerned people may walk by and view us as a children's only company because they see a child's puzzle and a puppet and they may not have small kids.....
At our booth this weekend I asked women who walked by if they liked to play games which then opened a dialoge where I could share with them that we have games for everyone from infant-senior citizens and then they wanted to see more about the range of products. But I know at larger events you need to capture attention even when you can't chat with each person to draw them over to check you out. I was discussing the idea of enlarging some pictures Simply Fun has in the back office for us to use as part of the display. Example: Picture of kids playing with the puzzle and label it kids, one of a family game night and label it family, and a picture of adults playing a game and label it adults. Maybe a sign that says fun for every age???? And then a game of two out in each category. Would that engage your interest at a vendor event? Once I get people into the booth they love the wide varriety and are excited about our game night parties. I just want our vendor events to be as productive as possible.
Our group has another large multi day event coming up in a few weeks and I would appreciate any thoughts or feedback.
Thank you!
Amanda

If I walked by a booth and actually saw people playing a game, that would get my attention. I am not sure if that is possible?

I know some companies have aprons for their consultants to wear at shows to advertise their business. Maybe you could buy an apron and have something printed on it that says Fun for Everyone instead of just a sign. Then everyone that sees you will see it. Or a tshirt?

Not sure what your display looks like, but if you can separate it out by the different types you mentioned (children, family, adults) with some very clear signage, I think that might help.

I like the apron idea. That would peak my interest in your company. Also have as many different areas as possible to shoewcase all you got. Good luck!

Love the idea of a sign.
How about really being BOLD by putting something like...
LOVE Apples to Apples?
How about Catch Phrase?
Etc.
Get were I'm going here? Name some popular "adult/family" games so it peaks interest. That would peak mine. My teens play all kinds of games like that when they have their friends over so I'd be checking you out.
Good luck and as always, the gals on this board come to the rescue! Love it here.

At one show I went to, The Longerberger basket reps had up a sign that said "how many baskets do you own" And people were very excited to go up and write their name and number on the large white board. It got people to stop and look.
Could you do something quick with one of your games? Something with points/words? I love the hands on feel of the game.
Maybe do it 3 times throughout the day. once at 10am, 11:30am and 1pm. And play something with the crowd.

I love that Louann! What a cool idea. I'm thinking I could have a white board where people write down the name of their favorite TS product or something like that???
Very cool. Thanks so much for sharing!

Glad to have helped. I think any time you do ANYTHING at a fair/expo to get the crowd involved is always a good thing. It creates curiousity and excitment.

I definitely like the idea of grabbing the people's attention with a question that is geared towards them. Make it about them!
Something has to be unique about your table for them to come up to it. Maybe do a raffle? I love raffles!! Then you can get their contact information at the same time.
I bought a banner off of Vistaprint for FREE! It really stands out and I know it gets their curiosity going by wondering what my business is all about.
