Wonder if some of you wonderful women could give me some ideas on how to do a spa for young women - around 19-22 yrs old. In previous spa escapes I have had with this age group I found they didn't want to take their makeup off to try the skin care. Obviously were not interested in the anti-age products. I found it really difficult to run a spa they all enjoyed. Does anyone have any ideas on how to run a successful spa for this age group of women? Any ideas would be wonderful.

Thankx
Colette

Do you have makeup demos? If not, check with your recruiter or Director and see if you can borrow theirs. Then, when they say they don't want to take off their makeup you can offer to let them put their makeup back on when the spa is over while you are taking orders. 9 times out of 10 this works for me. Even if one or two don't want to take their makeup off, once they see the other girls having fun and doing their facials, those girls will jump in and say ok. And usually they are the ones that buy the most because there is a reason they don't want to take that makeup off.

Just a suggestion....

how about massage creams and oils? And just do a spa day featuring those type of products. They can get their feet and hands massaged, without worrying about separating from their makeup!

When I have a group of young women, I love to do a make up demo on one person and put out my testers and let them "play" with the make up. They all buy make up and want to look great. Love Lip glosses, bronzers, our mascaras. They like experiential products too like warming trend, lip apeel, and microderm abrasion.

They may not want to try the skin care on their face, but try it on one hand and then demo the wet/dry on the top of their hands. They can see the difference the skin care makes on their hands. I have also pulled out the UV card and shown them what happens when they don't start taking care of their skin now.
