I just got my 3rd cancellation for April!!!!! What is going on?????? I have never had this happen to me before!!!!! Is anyone else having this problem? I cannot get people to commit and if they do, I get a cancellation. I am so bummed right now. smileys/smiley19.gif

At least you have enough time to get it back together.


That is one reason I hate to book out more then 6 weeks, but it's nice to have a full calendar.


Did they at least reschedule? Did they have good reasons? Do you want me to egg their house?

Thanks Debbie! Everyone says they are busy and will book later but you know what that means....In the 2 years I have been with The Glass Bracelet I have never had this problem. I have a show this afternoon. I hope to get some bookings from that. I am just so sad right now.....I am having my pitty party this morning.

I know that alot of people including myself now in the partyplan biz add to our hostess letters that this is our source of income and if they need to cancel please do so X number of days in advance so that I can rebook the date. Stress to your hostess' that this is your job / business and is as important to you as anyone elses' jobs.


Unfortunatly cancellations are just a part of the industry....*sigh*

Here is the portion of my letter....


Your job as a hostess is to generate good attendance. My job is to make your show fun and educational, while helping you earn the products on your wish list. This business is a source of income for my family and me so I do ask that you do your best to get attendance and sales! This benefits both of us!

I say something to that effect too. They are being nice about it but one lady was rude. I wouldn't want to have her host a show after her email she sent. I just am bummed. I'm building my bridge right now....

Ellen,.......I had 4 people cancell out on me and was totally bummed it ... and all but ready to give up....BUT I talked to my UO with Princess House and she was wonderful to get me out of that slump..... I did call back the ladies who cancelled ; to reschedulled and the 3 of them did. I feel as long as I have at least 1 - 2 shows per week I'm happy with that (for now untill we move to our new home anyway) Their after , I plan on really going full speed ahead with my business's.


ALSO, I found that this group is so motivating and so uplifting too. I'm very thankful to have all of you here. If I could I would give you all super hugs.....Their were times when I didn't even want to do my business's anymore...but reading what you all go through has really helped me out alot and knowing that I am not alone.


You are allAngels sent from Heaven above!


I will pray that things will also get better for your business.

We all get "those days". I had a "pity party" of my own 2 wks ago. Have the "party", use the time to re-visit/re-write your goals, make those phone calls, and keep your chin up. smileys/smiley17.gif


Just remember that this is your business and this is just a temporary setback. Luckily we have some control over the emotion and drive of our businesses. Don't let it get you down for too long - call your upline (like PHadvisor wrote) and get ready for the motivation (and maybe some friendly challenges) placed your way! smileys/smiley2.gif

Everyone freaks out this time of year because of taxes. They think they
can't shop or buy anything until they know if they are going to have to
pay the government more money than they already have! Stick with
it, the tide will change, it always does!

Thanks so much ladies for letting me vent and the words of wisdom! I love this site for that very reason. You ladies are the best!!


I just got back from my 100th show today and it was over $850 and 2 solid bookings! smileys/smiley4.gif


I also got a party lead from a past hostess today too.

Well I should say so Ellen! You should feel better girl! Glad to see you bounced back. When God closes one door He opens another and we don't ever really know why He does what He does, but it's always for our good. You just proved that!!!
