I wanted to start a new thread with a message from another one. TLLC had put this wonderful post:
Well I was able to connect with one of the best ENVPs in the company who was above my other ENVP. I wasn't able to mention her name(our ex-NVP) on this site because of lawsuits and privacy issues with her quitting. I will listen to my other calls nows and I have realised some people just are what they are and it best to just accept that and move on. Change is what happens everywhere and change happens in nature so why not accept that with humans. So since the NVP left, I also found out that our other RVP was booted out and I don't even know the new direct RVP that well who has replaced her.
With the above being said, it doesn't take a person's NVP to make their business happen- it just takes that individual person's vision and effort to make it a go. That is with anything in life. I can have a great Gym membership but that won't me in good shape, unless I actually get my butt up and go to that Gym.
So enough said, all the tools are there and people have gone to be an ENVP without a direct person there to make it happen.
Ciao to everyone on this board. I will make it a go on my own since that is all we really have when we first start out. I have learned a lot and heck I don't want to be around quitters anyways.
Winners never Quit
and
Quitters never Win
I chose to be a
Winner!!
I know many of us know in our heads that it is not our uplines that matter, but what we ourselves choose to do. But that is really easier said then done. I applaud you TLLC for your choice and think that we can all take a step in this direction.
No matter how good (or bad in some cases) our upline, she/he cannot do this for us. They can lead, direct and guide but cannot pick up the phone for us.
So in this olympic year, let's start off 2010 with the choice to be winners! :D After all, think of how much those athletes must practice to go out and compete - surely we can put in those few hours to accomplish the work needed to see our dreams.
And TLLC, again if we can offer any additional support please just let us know we would be happy to help out! I hope that you will end up finding support for somewhere in your upline, but if not then know your sidelines will be happy to help ;)
Let's have a great year and get our 'ask' in gear!
Take care and make it a great year!

Whooo Hoooo! I agree 100%. It's the beauty of having your own business and NOT having a boss over me impacting my life and income!!!!! What a great way to grow out of the mentality of allowing other people to control our lives!
Rock on y'all!

I totally agree! Great thread Julie! I am taking my business very seriously and choosing to WIN in 2010! I know that I am in control and if it is to be, it is up to me. I actually have just signed up with a personal coach to help hold me accountable. She's amazing! My goal for 2010 is NVP, so I have to stay focused!
May we all choose to win in 2010!! I know that we can do it, we just have to choose it! :D

Seeing Steff's post made me think. As we go through our presonal growth we will find tips or books or quotes that help us. Let's take a moment to share with each other some of those that worked for/spoke to us! Let's make 2010 our year to shine : )

Michael Clouse spoke to our team in Atlanta last night and had some book recommendations:
Those of you who were at the Michael Clouse event last night, thank you so much for coming. Michael is safely on his plane on the way home. If you remember he spoke about the 6 books that he reads over and over and over, and actually there are 7, and here is the list for those of you who wondered:
1. How To Win Friends & Influence People By Dale Carnegie
2. Think And Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill
3. The Magic Of Believing by Claude M. Bristol
4. As A Man Thinketh by James Allen
5. The Magic of Thinking BIG by David Swartz
6. The Richest Man in Babylon by George Clason
7. The Bible, The Book of Proverbs

Right now I'm reading "Mach II with Your Hair on Fire: the Art of Vision & Self Motivation: by Richard Bliss Brooke. It's really good so far about helping you to visualize your success. Now I'll have to read my way through the rest of Michael Clouse's (who I really like) list that I haven't read yet.

rbonalabama,
thanks so much for the list of books!
Rita came to our Nation meeting this week as did Dr Matravers. What a blessing to hear from them both. Share, share, share this business.....and bring a big group to NTC because everyone is going to leave with their "hair on fire"!! lol

As a music fan I like to take uplifting quotes from songs with this being my favorite;
"I can't change the world but I can change the world in me" Rejoice by U2.
