Hello Everybody!! I know this thread is for people that are mostly selling insurance or insurance reps but I was hoping somebody could help me out. I am in the process of getting my licensing through the Air Force to do inhome daycare. Do any of you know where I could find insurance for that. I know I am required by them to carry 300,000 liability but insurance is foreign to me so I have no clue what kind I am actually looking for. I have seen about a thousand different types of liability and don't know what in home daycare would fall under. I appreciate any help.

Here's a link that might be of some help. You can also call your local State Farm Agency questions. I don't endorse SF, but they just came to mind. http://www.ehow.com/how_2312435_start-daycare-business.html

I would TALK to other daycare owners - ask how THEY solved that issue, what they pay, if they are happy with the plan etc...That is definitely STEP ONE!
Also, since you are connected to the Military, check out USAA.com, I use them for my car insurance ever since I was in the Service. They have been EXCELLENT in responding to my claims ( I had a few... ) I don't know if they have the right coverage, but they definitely have liability, also good for renters or home ins.

Good Luck on your new business venture!! A friend of mine made fantastic income this way!

A good friend of mine also uses USAA.com and he is very satisfied with them. I think they have some really good and cheap offers. He will move to Germany for 2 years but I guess he needs a local car insurance (http://www.autoversicherung-online.info/KFZ-Versicherung/Comparison-Germany-USA/German-System) if he lives there. By the way I think talking to other daycare owners is a excellent idea. I wish you good luck.
