I have a problem with Craigslist, and it is affecting my ability to do one of my jobs. Craigslist has put every one of my accounts on hold, does anyone know how to remedy this situation? I was hoping that if any of you had past experience with this you could help....thanks.

Craigslist will do this if you've been making lots and lots of posts. Also, they probably think you are spamming since you have multiple accounts.
I'm not trying to sound mean. It's just the way Craigslist does things.

Mine were put on hold for that same job too FLMommie. You just need to find a way to get some other PVA accounts.

I've used all the phone numbers I have, do you have any tips on PVA? I'm really not wanting to lose this one :)

I know I feel the same way, I was hoping that if any of the other WAHM mom on this board had any experience with this maybe they could help us out. Hopefully someone will have a little jewel of info ;)

You can purchase a phone number through skype. There is a monthly fee but the actual skype program is free. I haven't done it yet but it seems like it might work.

Well, there is one other thing you could do. You could hide or change your IP numbers, that way your posts couldn't be tracked back to the same IP. Tricky, I know. I haven't actually done this, but it is possible.

You can also get a free phone number through Google voice. :)

Speaking from experience, you cannot use a Google Voice number for CL PVA. It has to be a landline or cell phone number.

Go to K7.net you can get free voice mail and conference calls . I have used them for 2-3 years now. They will noitify you as soon as you have a call or you can log in to get your messages.
The only thing is the numbers are all Seattle numbers. They may have added more since I joined I have not looked for others lately. They are great to work with and you get the number instantly.

You cannot use a skype number for a PVA either, best advice I can give you is buy new pva's I have a contact that sells them for $6-$8 per pva depending on his supply.

Buying is a good option. You can get them for less than $5. I've seen them as low as $2 each but I don't remember where I saw them.

Some of you I know and others I may or may not know and I just don't know your screen name. I sent an email out to many WAHM's that were having issues with Craigslist.
The fact is, you should not even need a PVA. PVA's do make posting a bit easier but again, they should not be needed. The problem you are having is that CL (Craigslist) has recorded what is known as your IP address. Most IP address hiding software does not work (if you know of one that does work I would love to know :) because the CL system picks up on the software.
I would guess that 80% of the WAHM's on here can clear up this issue. It can be a pain sometimes but.......worth it!
If you are on a cable internet connection, simply unplug the power cord to your internet's modem. Leave this off for about 15 minutes. During this time, delete your internet browsing history (including your cookies). You should then be good to go:D
The next issue is that your ads must not be too similar (if you got them from me I tried to mix them up so your ads would be very different). If your ads are basically the same ad then the CL system sees that and only allows you to post the first ad. Once the sysytem feels you are trying to run a similar ad it then requires you to create a PVA and now you need to reset (turn the power off) again.
CL only wants you to run the same ad only if 3 days have gone by.
I do not want to lose any of the WAHM's that work with me and hope all are able to clear this up and get back to making money:p

i am having the same issue. unplugging did not work for me. i then unplugged overnite and tried it this morning - no luck. i am getting very disappointed. really wanted to do this but it looks like i will not be able to continue. i've used every phone number available to me and its not worth it to my to "buy" a number as some of you have suggested. i plan on talking to my IS guy here at work and see if he has any ideas. if so i will let you all know.

Again, it wont work for everyone bu I will ask this.....Did you also clear your browsing history and cookies?
A "cookie" is placed in your computer when you visit a site. That cookie is what tells the site that you have already been there even if you have a different IP address. So, you also need to get rid of that cookie.
Another question is "what is my IP address and how do I know if it was changed"?
Before you try to change your IP go to What Is My IP Address? - Lookup IP, Hide IP, Change IP, Trace IP and more... (http://whatismyipaddress.com/)
This will tell you what your IP address is. Then unplug and go back to see if it has changed

PVA = Phone Verified Account. Seems to be Craigslist's new way of cleaning up spammers. :)

That really depends on what city and category you are posting in.for the SF bay area you need a PVA for every category..for most of the major cities this is true and some smaller cities as well. The Jobs & personals section all require a PVA IME

PVA's are used for service postings. I can do sales and not use a pva. I had to borrow friend's numbers for services since you are only allowed 3 service posting per day per pva. And write down your numbers...I didn't do this and a year later was asked to verify my numbers. I had to create a new account and guess at my other numbers so I've lost alot of my pvas :(

Sorry to be so nosy but I was wondering what company you are all working for that you are posting Craigslist ads? Reason I ask is that I need something like this to bring in an extra little chunk of change to go along with my part time job that is outside the home that allows me to do what I like on the computer. Any information would be greatly appreciated. I am already doing Mturk and the alike to help but something more would be great.
