I just joined a week ago. I spent the week getting things together like business cards, making labels to put on the brochures I ordered as well as the bottom of the candles I'm going to eventually sell, and other "office work" type stuff. I got my COTM on Wednesday and burned some votives...LOVE sweet orange and chili pepper! smileys/smiley4.gif

So, my question is, what in your experience is the NEXT best thing to do? I like to "duplicate what works" rather than try and re-invent the wheel smileys/smiley36.gif. I am getting some other scent samples and votives from my wonderful sponsor smileys/smiley2.gifso I will make up more some scent samples too once I get them.

Right now I'm interested in ALL aspects of the business, but I'm sure I'll find my niche after a while. I'd like to try it all, lol!

If you could give a step by step "plan" for the first month what would it be? I'm looking to get my business up an running and would love to see some profit in the first month so I can buy a Sampler Pack!

Thanks!

Becky

Not a Mia Bella rep but, I would do these things.

Talk to everyone about the candles. Share them with family and friends. Have them take orders for you as well and give them free candles. Put up fliers. Hand our fliers and business cards. Just talk to everyone about them. A guy in my area goes to mall and stikes up conversation with the people working in the booths. Hand them his card and urges them to check out his site. Good luck.

Becky, also, if you are interested in all aspects of the business, have you thought about your hostess incentives for parties? Also, ask friends and family if they would host a party to get you started.

I agree with Kim's post. Talk to everyone and show, show, show.

Also think about Holiday specials coming up. You need to plan month ahead for each Holiday. Easter specials, Mother's Day etc. Maybe make some flyers or nice postcards with Holiday incentives.

If you like to do gift baskets you could makes sample baskets or just have a flyer w/descriptions.
