Don't absolutly quote me because I am still not clear (nobody seems to be, even my director) but I called corp and spoke with a rep.
I am not a big seller nor a VIP so I was more concerned with the ordering requirements to stay active. One big change is that now the minimum is $150 every three months. As a scenerio, if you order in January, you are "inactive" in April. I assume it's a rolling three months, so when I pass the three month limit, I have to put in an entire $150 order to get any discount at all.
If I order a small amount past the three month limit, then it's 100% retail, no discount at all. This really is being done to "weed out" the small time users. What BC wants to do is create VIPS who have teams working.
The rep had to read this info off of her guide, so I think they are in the process of learning it too.
I do feel some of this plan is an improvement, particularly for the middle rangers who are VIPS or more, but even then its sitll higher ordering limits.

I'm still learning the new comp plan, but some of the really cool parts are:
Yes, there is a rolling 3 month period to order a total of $150 ( not one large order as it is now ) and your beautipage sales count in to this total as well.
This the really cool part for "friends and family " consultants. When you go inactive, you have 12 months where you are inactive ( 3 now ) and you can reactivate with a $150 order ( no penalty for ordering your $150 in 3 months or within 15 months!!!)
Oh, and as long as you order within the 15 months time period, you keep your recruits and your downline still. Right now, you lose your recruits the day you go inactive ( 4months from yor last order )
I have heard rumours about BC "weeding out" personal use consultants, but as far as I'm concerned, I have never heard anything about that from BC corporate in any way at all. In fact, after learning the new comp plan, it seems they have taken out so many road blocks to keep all types of consultants at all levels happy and encourage youto contimue to stay active with BC.
The BIG changes to the discount structure happen at both the low end and the top end of the discount structure. The top discount ( 50% ) will now be available with a $750 order. This is now cumulative for the month!!!! So if you place a $300 order, and then a $450. you will get 50% discount on the second order ( as long as your total is $750 or more in the same calendar month. ) AND you get the 50% discount for the entire following calendar month too. I have heard there will be lots of incentives this year at the $150 and the $750 levels.

I agree the best part is the $150 reactivation which used to be $200. But it kinds of evens out that its now three months instead of four. Also anything under $150 is only 25%. I always order $101 just to get that 30%.
Unless something is on sale only getting 25% will just about pay for shipping.
Sherri a few pages back there was a link to the tupperware quarterly shareholders report and in it the president of Tupperware spoke of moving BC away from consultants who just buy the kit etc and in the previous' year's quarterly report spoke of "flushing out" personal users. That's a phase that seem to linger on, yah know?
My friends i have told about the new requirements are shocked at the amounts increased. Bottom line: anyone who wants to remain active will have to order considerably more.

I don't think there is any other direct sales company who has increased their minimum amounts, is there? I can face the fact that BC has done this because according to the quarterly report, they want more people selling. That's ok with me, it's their perogrative to increase the amounts, but according to my director's sales reports, there are far more people doing $200-350 than $750, except for intitial consultants.

I am probably not going to post any more comments at this time until we learn more about the plan.

I know a lot of the info, but there is a lot to it. Are there specific questions I could try to answer?

as I said, no comments, but I have a question
I have a BC website, and if I become inactive, do I still get the commission for the purchase or do you have to be active?

Are there any recruiting requirements at the director or vip level? What kind of commission does a director make on team sales? How about when a director promotes a director out, how does the commission work then?

I'm still a little unclear about the new ordering requirements...so, if I were to go past the 3 month minimum and become inactive and then placed a $150 order after, say, six months had passed. Would I have to pay full retail since I am inactive, or would I get the 30% discount off that $150 order? Am I making sense?
Thanks!!

There are no recruiting requirements at the Director or VIP level so far as I can tell. There is however a bonus for recruiting qualified each month. The amount of the bonus varies depending on your personal level and the number of qualified recruits you and your team recruit. The Director's commission has changed, and I am not entirely familiar with it yet. I do know that it has increased and that a Director in our Executive Family who gets pretty decent size checks each month (I want to say hers are over $5000) said that her check for last month would have increased had we been in the new plan. I think that is something they went over at the Exec Directors Summit. And again, when you promote a Director I am not entirely familiar with that either, but I think one of the changes there is that the new Director counts towards the parent Director for longer. And I know that the bonus is still there for promoting a Director too.

DivineSpa, if I am understanding it correctly, then if the $150 was placed in one order you would get the 30% discount. If it was in smaller orders then you pay full price. So, the same way that in the current plan it is beneficial to a consultant to place their minimum $100 order all at once to get the best discount, it would again be to your benefit if you were to go inactive to place the order all at once instead of a little at a time. If that is incorrect then someone please correct me, but that is my understanding on it.

Yes there is.
I know of one that doubled the load from $150.00 to $300.00 plus increased group volume plus added a yearly renewal fee all at once!

I am a consultant for both BC and Tupperware (tw). And from what is sounds to me, BC is trying to move there structure to match TWs structure, which makes sense, when thinking about it. TW was one of the most successful direct sales companies in 08 and I am sure when the numbers for 09 are out they will be for 09 too. And seeing the that BC and TW are ran by the same people I can see them moving in that direction. I know change is hard, but from what I have heard, which isn't a lot, I like what I am hearing. I think this will be a great moving for BC and us consultants.
Does anyone know when this takes place? Did it start the Jan sales month, or are they introducing it later?

It started Jan 1, but with so much to update, BeautiNet won't be updated until Tues (I think). I agree that this will be a great move in the right direction for BC consultants.
