Merry Christmas all. I have a question regarding equipment. Please forgive me if this is already posted somewhere I didn't see anything specific and would happy to look up an old post if someone would be willing to point me in the right direction. I just applied at West and in the event I am hired, I want to make sure I have the right stuff to be successful. Where do you all purchase your headsets and what type of phone do you use/suggest? In addition, are there any other tips you would be willing to share? Thank you for your time and patience.

i just have a cordless phone and a cheap headset from radio shack. works great!

i use voip and i have a cheap headset that i bought from walmart and everything iss working just fine for me.

I use a headset that I purchased from Walmart. I currently use a cordless phone, but I would like a corded, headset usable phone because my wireless' battery runs down on really busy days. I'd check Office Max or Staples for a business phone that uses a headset if you want to go that route.

I want to get a corded phone w/ headset for that reason Fuchsia but I haven't found anything that would be in my price range. I will keep looking though, if I find something I will let you ladies know. :)

On the West wesbite account page is does have a place where West employees get discounts for Plantronics. I have a T10 from them and I am very pleased. It's a telephone keypad with the noise canceling headset. I bought mine before I found out about the discount and it was about 60.00.

Just wanted to chime in and give you my opinion on what I use. I ordered it from Fry's Home Electronics | Computer Parts & Accessories, Software, Games, TVs, Cameras - Frys.com (http://www.frys.com) it an electronic store and at the time they were offering free shipping so of course I took advantage of that. It's a Panasonic model number KX-TS105B (phone) for 28.99 I also bought the matching headset Item number KX-TCA92 for 19.99. It is a great investment, not to mention the headset is super comfortable. This phone and headset is well worth the price. If you have any other question feel free to message me back or send me a PM....

I bought a 2 line phone with a headset jack at Radio Shack for about $30. I also but my headset there for $15. I was afraid I would regret buying a cheep set up but it actually works very well together! I get compliments all day from my customers on how crisp and clear my phone sounds. The awesome thing is that the combo seems to cut out a ton of background noise too. No one I talk to can hear my two year old in the background watching Dora, lol. Good luck!

Can I just tell you that I spent the entire day looking for a headset?! ALL DAY!! I didn't know it was ok for us to have a cordless phone but I ended up getting one anyway. HH Greg had them both for sale. I was really scared - I so knew I'd get fired on my first day for having one! LOL
