So I had 2 parties rebook in the last 2 days for March! One is having family issues and the other wants to wait until she meets new people (she just moved here). Both understandable excuses.


I'm working on booking March. People are saying yes, but for April and May! I need March. At least I'll front load the next 2 months.


I'm even offering extra incentives. But for some reason, March isjust not good. I love March! It's one of my favorite months.

Oh how I know what you are feeling. I had my first two shows cancel. But in hindsight it was a good thing. I came down with a sinus infection, double ear infection and strep throat that would of made me cancel them anyway. However, today my catalog show hostesscalled with over $600 in orderssmileys/smiley4.gif. Yey!!

MyJanuary was that way - people only wanted to book later, but it helped me out in the long run. I already had 5 shows booked for March by January! Sometimes it's nice to have them booked that far out, but I know that doesn't help right NOW. smileys/smiley17.gif

Great, now I got April, May and June, no March. Well 1 party and a playgroup. I was planning to do 6 this month.

Time to head to the schools/churchs/daycares to see if they what they need to purchase or if they need to do a ToyRaiser. :)

Seems like we all have one month that's like that. My February stunk, but so far March is going well. Good luck on those bookings!

I had a amazing Feb and so far March is good but I cannot get anyone to call me back to book shows. These are ladies who invite me to call them! I also had 2 cancellations for April. I am down to 4 shows in April and nothing for May! ARGGGGGG!!! Just call me back! Thats all I ask!!! LOL!

I need to start booking more ahead, but I usually don't like to book more then 6 weeks out, so I play the call ya back game. Maybe I need to be better about just getting dates up front.


I have envelopes for the month, and when I get there I know who to call. But it's a lot of phone tag, especially when the weather is great.

Yes phone tag is the worst. I always try and get an email address than I can send email reminders and send them to my site to date their workshop. For me February was slow month I only did two parties. However things have really picked up lately and I have been averaging having three contacts for booking every week now. Some are booking for summer monthes and some just for a couple monthes from now. Take the future month bookings to because from my experience these people are more reliable their excited and so they are booking ahead to ensure their date isn't taken. Most of my called and emails lately have been from my ad in the www.yourkidsdirectory.com (http://www.yourkidsdirectory.com)


though. For me leads from events I have to follow up within a week otherwise they forget, but ads in certain types of publications have been successful.

That's awesome! My Feb. was better then expected, but this month, well we had some family things, and I didn't prebook the month, which was my bad. I'm just going to focus on 1 more party this month and blasting April. smileys/smiley36.gif

It really is. I have a lot of Birthday Parties, and Day Cares and Summer Camps booked so I am excited. It's fun and it's new every day lol!

I know. I need to get on the ball. They are having a summer camp registration and I know I should call and see if I can set up a info booth. This camp is huge and moms get in line 2 hours before the doors open just to guarantee a spot! I should offer to set up in exchange for some toys for their kids area.


Better get on the ball!
